    The Bottom Line: "Superb"

Kingdom follows the life and business of Peter Kingdom, a solicitor on on the picturesque Norfolk coast. He is accompanied by his unstable sister Beatrice, his junior lawyer Lyle and a host of other regular and guest characters.
Stephen Fry is the perfect choice to plat Peter Kingdom as he has the mix of comedy and drama just right. Karl Davies as Lyle provides some great comedy moments, the doll blowing up on him in a sex shop springs to mind, but like Peter can also be a dramatic character and one which the auience can really sympathie with.
The show also has some great guest stars and fantastic regulars. Peter's Aunt Auriel is brilliant as she is everyhting that you wouldn't expect the resident of an old people's home to be!
The mix of the characters and the not too strenuous storylines makes Kingdom essential viewing.

    The Bottom Line: "Superb"

I am an absolute QI addict! Stephen Fry is the absolute perfect host for the show as he is so intelligent and very witty at the same time. The dynamic between him and Alan is great to watch. Especially when Alan inevitable sets the sirens going with almost all his answers! The show usually has great guests on and it's interesting to see the ones I always thought were clever get everything wrong, and to see what really random facts people seem to know! I like watching it and getting answers right. And even when I don't I always turn the Tv off afterwards feeling like I've just learnt so much while laughing so hard.
Not many shows can say that!

    The Bottom Line: "Superb"

Although a comedy set in a hospital full of ill people doesn't sound like the best comedy set up in the world, Scrubs somehow makes it work brilliantly!
The characters work together so well together, especially the great, if troubled, relationship between Dr. Cox and J.D. Dr Cox's rants are a definite highlight and never ever fail to make me laugh. And J.D.'s reactions to them are also comedy genius.
I also like the on off relationship between J.D. and Elliot because they're probably two of the most neurotic people in the whole hospital!
I hope that Scrubs is around for a lot longer!

    The Weather Effect

Morning people! It's so cold outside, I feel like hibernating...

So most of this weekend has been spent sorting through everything that I need to add onto my laptop which always seems to be so much whenever I get a new machine. I'm guessing that I'll forget some things, only when I go to use them will I notice that they're missing. As for the laptop itself, I couldn't be happier! It's almost as quick as my home PC which is an achievement on it's own, but then it has other little bonuses like media buttons that are controlled by touch rather than actual button presses. I also bought a new mouse for it, which is very similar to my home one but the laptop version. It's a great mouse, especially how small the USB receiver is which is the reason I bought it. I have an issue with the scroll wheel as it's not very good at scrolling down but I can see past that as it does work, just not very effectively.

Tonight I'm hoping to finally get back on the tennis court, it's been almost a week (last Tuesday) since I played which is too long. I've had my racquet restrung and I've also been lent a racquet to test out so I really want to get on and give them a go! I went yesterday morning to try to salvage Sunday morning tennis but the weather was against me. There were three of us that turned up but we couldn't play with all the rain we had.

In gaming, I finished off GRAW2 which was a bit unexpected. The game is split up into three parts and the first two were pretty long but the third was so short! The game was brilliant whilst it lasted, far better than COD4 if you ask me. The graphics were good, the squad weren't completely useless, and the shooting was very satisfying. I completed it on normal difficultly so as it's not very long I might go back and try it on hard.

On tv.com, I managed to pick up the guide for my favourite UK comedy, The IT Crowd (UK). So far the first two episodes have been brilliant and Moss is just an outstanding character! It's been a quiet week really, especially with staff taking most of the week off. Things seem to have been progressing slowly this week.

As for TV, I watched Prison Break 'Quiet Riot' which I thought was great, it was about time another of Michael's plans were put into practice. Now I'm interested in seeing what happens in the next episode! I also saw Heroes 'The Eclipse: Part 1' and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. It was interesting to see the dynamics change once they'd lost their powers but that's about it. Next up was Chuck 'Chuck Versus the Gravitron' which was good, not as great as normal but with another story over I'm wondering what's in store next for Chuck. I also watched Ghost Whisperer 'Heart & Soul' which just went beyond stupid for me. The whole Jim storyline is just one annoying phase after another. I saw Dexter 'About Last Night' which was great, I'm not really liking Miguel any more so as I can see where the storyline is heading I'm pretty happy! I watched HIMYM 'The Naked Man' and I'm pretty sure that their latest tactic is one of best so far! It's pretty far-fetched as far as it actually working goes, but it's the thought that counts. Lastly, I watched the latest two episodes of Gary Unmarried which were 'Gary and Allison Brookes' and 'Gary Gives Thanks' which were good. The first was much better than the second although seeing both of their fathers getting bribed into going to the other's house was pretty funny.

My album for the day is Out Of Control by Girls Aloud.

My shuffle song for the day is 'Reptilia' by The Strokes.

My thing to ponder for today is: Can a short person "talk down" to a taller person?

    It's Been a While

Oh dear, have I really been gone for 3 months? Jaysis! Well I guess that's what ya get for getting real life getting in the way *gasp* Ha, real life. What's that, might ya say... But as the new seasons of House and CSI are starting I need my spoiler fix oh so desperately.

Anyways, life is grand on this side of the pond. Have finally settled in. The new apartment is kept pristine clean. Yeah who would've though I'd turn into a somebody who throws a hissy fit if a certain someone hasn't vaccum cleaned the bedroom. Have also discovered the joys of lounging on the balcony in a leather chair.

2 couples sharing a 2 bedroom apartment have moved in next door. Chain smokers (thank god they'll die of cancer soon enough). Indian. Into Indian music. Ugh, horrible stuff. The volume of my laptop just keeps going up ad up. How can anyone listen to that s*ite...

I have a job where I do f*ck all but get paid a lot. Oh well, not complaining. I'm the resident software genius cos no-one else seems to know how to insert a table in a PPT presentation. On top of that I am getting a pay rise in October.

Saw Muse a couple of weeks ago. Gonna see Kings of Leon in december. Oh yeah! I think I am in love with Caleb Followill mmmm.

    Kings of Leon - Fans

    Watch and enjoy

Oh I'm going back to college in a couple of weeks. Did I really sign up for this... oh dear. No more going on on Friday nights. No more slouching at home on Saturdays.

Mmmm and going to Paris next week. Yay holidays!

I guess that's my summer in short. It's good to be back I must say!
