The Lost Boy (2)

The Sarah Jane Adventures has now come to an end but it definitely goes off with a bang (not literally). The Slitheen have captured Luke and Mr Smith who has just revealed himself to be a xylok has zapped Clyde. Sarah Jane has gone off to the Pharos Institute to steal one of their headsets, but unbeknownst to her it is just another step in Mr Smith's plans. Meanwhile Sarah Jane has stole a headset and escaped from the institute with a few minor problems and Luke has escaped from the Slitheen's grasp and he heads to Sarah Jane's house. An excellent episode to finish off the series but the 1st part was much better than this one, nice effects and K-9 makes his small appearance. A very good episode and bring on the New Year's special.

The Sarah Jane Adventures
The Lost Boy (1)
Avg Score: 9.00    Total Ratings: 45    Total Reviews: 1
The first part of The Lost Boy has begun. Maria is telling her dad all about what she has been doing over at Sarah Jane's house, fighting the Slitheen, the Gorgon and the Uvodni, Alan then proposes that he is going to put their house on the market in the morning so they can move away from all the danger but he decides otherwise when Maria goes over to Sarah Jane's house to tell her what is going on. This episode brings back the Slitheen who were previously seen in Revenge of the Slitheen, but in this episode they are answering to a xylok who is later revealed at the end of the episode. It all starts when Sarah Jane sees on the tele that a boy called Ashley is missing but Ashley looks exactly like Luke, they then go straight upstairs so Mr Smith can give him a genetical scan and he says that Ashley and Luke are the same person. Meanwhile at Maria's house Chrissie comes through the door and says that she has phoned the police to tell them that the boy is with a woman called Sarah Jane Smith. The police then arrive at Sarah Jane's house and tells Sarah Jane that Ashley (or Luke as we know him) must return to his proper family. This episode is probably the best yet I would have thought, with a great story and great everything really, especially the cliffhanger.

Paul and Barry have opened a coffee business using Paul's invented coffee maker, there is one problem it spits out coffee everywhere but when they do manage to get a drop Barry said it was lovely. They then see a customer a raucous looking man in a black jacket and hat, Paul tries to serve the coffee but it all goes over the black-jacketed man, the man goes and Barry thinks he is a gangster but Paul replies that gangsters usually have violin cases, obviously the next time they meet the man has a violin case, ever predictable isn't it? A very funny episode with terrible jokes and puns and it will apply more to adults to because of the dry sense of humour they have.

Eye of the Gorgon (2)
Avg Score: 8.75    Total Ratings: 39    Total Reviews: 1
Eye of the Gorgon part 2 is obviously the second part of Eye of the Gorgon. The villainous gorgon and the sinister nuns have just turned Maria's dad to stone, the nuns then head out the door congratulating themselves for finding the talisman at last. Maria and Sarah Jane then head upstairs and ask Mr Smith what is wrong with Alan he replies that the transformation isn't complete yet and will take approximately 90 minutes before it is, hearing that news Maria heads over to Lavender Lawns to talk to Bea and ask her about the gorgons while Sarah Jane goes off to find Luke and Clyde who have just found a shortcut into a garden full of stone statues that was the gorgons' previous victims. Another excellent episode from Phil Ford which is up there with the best, I hope his next story (The Lost Boy) has the same success as this episode has.

Eye of the Gorgon (1)

Eye of the Gorgon is the second story in the Doctor Who spin-off The Sarah Jane Adventures. Clyde, Luke, Maria and Sarah Jane investigate an old peoples' home that the residents think is haunted by a ghostly nun. The team investigate but they find nothing but Luke who had talked to an old lady called Bea Nelson-Stanley who gave him a talisman which Bea said the nuns must not get. Sarah Jane and the team arrive at her house and ask Mr Smith if he could analyse the talisman, he said there was insufficient data and needed to perform a detailed analysis, Maria then comes in and slams the door quite hard and Sarah Jane asks her not to do that as there is a lot of sensitive equipment in the room, Sarah Jane then says she will go back to Lavender Lawns (the old peoples home) and ask Bea about the talisman, Maria came along to. They arrived at Lavender Lawns and headed up to Bea's room. Bea comes and greets them a few minutes after Sarah Jane and Maria had arrived, Sarah Jane asks about the talisman and she starts to talk about where she got it from and then talks about the gorgon. Phil Ford has done an excellent job writing this episode and hopefully the next part will live up to this one. This episode is quite easy to understand and you can follow it very well. Brilliant episode!
