MY REVIEWS

  • show: Burn Notice

    episode: Good Soldier

    The Bottom Line: "Great"

At one point I believed that the storyline with Burn Notice was getting a bit redundant; always seeing Micheal's mother when it wasn't necessary, his on-off relationship with Fiona and not to mention 'The Client', but this installment made why I began watching this series worthwhile. I enjoyed every bit of it; the dilemma between finding out who burned him and helping out Fiona's boyfriend was well played. Though I figure that Fiona is only with him to make Micheal jealous, but this installment is finally beginning to pick up pace.

I'm definitely looking out for the next episode after that explosion, well enough said...

  • show: Smallville

    episode: Odyssey

    The Bottom Line: "Superb"

This season opener caught me off guard and I'm sure it did the same to many viewers. It was cutting edge. I did not expect that I would love this episode so much. Clarke's loss of his power, the hint at the end that he was probably wearing a suit (Clarke in a suit lol), Chloe's new ability, Clarke and Lois working together. It found some way to resemble 'Superman' but Smallville gave itself its own identity.

I love the new cast, and the unexpected turns in events. Bravo, for this new jaw dropper, it is ahead of it's time.

I can tell you one thing, I am definitely putting this on the top of my list for my most favorite TV. series this season. I am impressed.

  • show: Men in Trees

    episode: Taking the Lead

    The Bottom Line: "Bad"

This final installment basically rushed all the story lines, the same ones which took two season's to develop was rushed in the last three episodes. Writers said that they had a wonderful finale, but it frankly disappointed me. Jack and Marin had yet another relationship squabble which was resolved as usual at the end of the episode, but what disappointed me was how they shredded the beautiful relationship between Patrick and Annie. This episode would have been fine if it wasn't the series finale. This is what we are left with? I was not thrilled with it, what about Cash, What about Teresa's dream to have a child, Sara's dream to become a doctor. All of these things were left unsatisfactory and pointless. Surely something could have been done to redeem the show in the end, but this episode just threw every thing down the drain.
A huge disappointment, I couldn't believe that this show ended when it did. Another good show flushed down the drain. Men In Trees' building blocks, crumbled with this final installment.

  • show: Burn Notice

    episode: Double Booked

    The Bottom Line: "Good"

This installment surprised me, in previous episodes Burn Notice would always point out the redundancy of 'The Client' which was getting very tiresome after a while. This episode took an unexpected turn, instead of representing out of kindness to his brother, friend or mother, he was obligated to help this person for fear if he didn't she would die and the blood would be on his hands. I liked the story line, it was different, and burn Notice needed that.

The only thing is that Micheal's mother is starting to annoy me. Why do they keep showing her, when it's not even that necessary. The show is finding a way to keep Micheal's mother in the plot and it obvious. Fiona's new love interest, I really couldn't care for, it was funny, but the show is playing with these two characters too much, pretty soon we could loose interest in Micheal and Fiona's relationship.

Overall, I thought this was a good installment. I really liked it.
