There had been speculation on Franklin's success so the Mythbuster tackled this monumental feat by this great figure.

This time Grant, Tori and Kari take the big myth while Jaime and Adam passed gas literally. Jaime and Adam are going to bust some myths about flatulence. It has been going for sometime about stinky stereotypical facts about farts. It was so funny when poor pale Adam was a fart machine for real. The Franklin test was very possible but death was on the other end of the string. Yes a string can conduct the energy but the power of a lightning is too much for a person to handle. Meanwhile the flatulence test was a success too where Jaime and Adam busted that farts can kill. The smell is killer on its own way but way too far to be a murderer. The show was one of their more typical ones. It was fun that they poked around on a historical breakthrough and a wacky windbreaker for balance.

When I first watched Mythbusters it didn't blew me away. I was not an avid Discovery watcher but I gradually did when I got older and smarter. Mythbusters showed something original and added some unintentional slapstick for a Discovery channel show.

Great special effects men Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage hosts the show and to think that Jamie was touted to be a solo host. Adam gives humor and silliness to the show while Jaime is the more serious one. I like the competition between them and the way they create things from scratch to bust a myth.

Its originality separates it from the rest and there are no other shows that would come close in imitating them.

Being a sports fan this epidose was interesting. It was just the second sport myth that they have tackled. I don't see Adam and Jamie being guys who play sports. They could probably tested Helium with other balls too but it centered on just the football. The other myth was catching a bullet with your teeth. It was quite obvious that it was impossible to do but still with Mythbusters' spirit they tried it. Grant's mechanism was cool but it didn't provide good results. Anyhow the Helium football myth was busted as well due to the fact that the trajectory of the football when heavier will go farther and smoother than the one lighter.

The show revisited the Death Ray Myth that they busted. I thought the episode was something of a filler for the Mythbusters. There were folks in M.I.T. that were convinced that it was plausible. Indeed they burnt a wooden stationary ship but it is still not convincing. So that is why the Mythbusters decided to test it again in the first place.

What I didn't like was there were no other myths included so it was all focused on the Death Ray which was busted in the first place anyway. They did however found fans of the show willing to try out myth including a NASA scientist! It did work on lighting up a wooden boat but too many historical facts go against this being possible at that period of time.

Huff's first season just finished showing here in HBO Asia. It was surprised it turn out that well. I was watching Hank Azaria's Tuesdays With Morrie when I decided to catch the season. I not totally a fan of him but a world of a psychologist would be unique and different. There are no Analyze This moments here. In a drama series sometimes good comic relief is needed. Like the character of Russell. He is a lawyer but also a sex and drugs addict. I can't seem to see the reason how Huff and Russell became best friends. To add it all up there is the saracastic son Byrd, the annoying mother Izzy and Maggie the super secretary that provides good support to the main cast.

Overall it was an HBO Series always gives you something a taste of difference.
