This is really the most classic of the designing women episodes. Suzanne is the most out-of-control she has been on the show. Julia is fed up with her (Suzanne) when she starts smoking and none of the other women want to let her watch design house but they begrudgingly let her stay the night in the house. Seeing her appear on the news the next day is hysterical as she tries to hide from reporters and the other designing women realize their precious "design home" has gone up in flames. This episode exemplified Atlanta in the eighties when homes were very large and the decorating industry was thriving.

This is my favorite episode of the series. Mary Pat Dowhy (my little, real-life sister) is the highlight of the show as the waitress who serves beer to the boys after they learn of Foreman's grandmother's untimely demise. She gave wisecracking looks to the group and seemed to go along with their antics when they posed as military personel with a bartab. Mary Pat had been a waitress and bartender for years beforehand in New York City but this was her "breakthrough" waitress role. Mary Pat looked remarkable in this role with her comedicly expressive eyes and her very real, very seventies, red hair.
