if you don't know, i am literally in love with M.I.A.'s music, and am indefinitely appalled at the horendus editing and censorship of her latest video, Paper Planes.

If you don't know, M.I.A. is an underground superstar. She makes real hip-hop dealing with violence, war, and problems in 3rd world countries, much better than a song about how YOU! can do the Soulja Boy dance.

What is edited is the chorus.

"All I wanna do is *BANG BANG BANG*

And... *ka-CHING*

And take your money!"

Yes, it seems..... not good, but the lyrics are really deep, as is the rest of her new album Kala (which you should buy/steal/illegally download this instant). MTV has the audacity to actually edit the gun sounds, even worse than the David Letterman edit.

If this network is afraid the air a harmless video with gun sounds, yet can air a show that has lesbians making out, and pretty much having simulated sex, which can be seen at 1.pm in the afternoon, perfect for the kids!

So if MTV won't air this, but they happily air pretty much softcore porn on Saturday mornings and The Hills, then I have no hope for them. (not that I had much hope for them anyway.)

So.... yea.

It was the show that caused the whole mess of members being banned. I did however create a threadtitled "Old & New Members...what do you think of the show". I guess that could go a little off topic as long as TSL or the cast are mentioned in the thread. Well as I'm sure you may have noticed, there has been an outbreak of past users coming back, and we all have been talking, so I would like to request a special thread for those who kinda-sort of MADE theTSL boards. So we would greatley appreciate if you made us theTSL Reunion Board (CERTAIN MEMBER ONLY!),plus we can have an off-topic board especially for us. And maybe if you can just let all of us talk about old times and such and when the post count goes over or whatever, you can lock it. I just feel the, you know, non- troll, fans that speak complete sentences and you know,non 'n00b'-ish members. The real members.

Remember, this is just a request, but if you do it, you be the greatest editor for anything.. EVER!.

Sorry to say this, but that is not possible to do at TV.com as the forums are open for all members reguardless if they are new members. You can however go off topic in the TSL Union at GameSpot. As for an off-topic thread on the TSL forum at TV.com can not happen due to the TOS. You can thank a certain editor of an other show for that, as OT threads are no longer allowed in show forums. The only OT you can do at TV.com is in the OT forum.
