Since I am the editor for 30 Days here on TV.com, I am here to encourage everyone (who reads this!) to watch the third season premiere tonight on FX. It airs at 10pm and repeats at 11pm (EDT).

Tonight, show creator Morgan Spurlock (star of Super Size Me, What Would Jesus Buy?, and Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden?) will spend 30 days working in a coal mine in West Virginia. He will show what it is like to live and work in that environment.

The documentary show includes a lot of humor and raises many important questions about issues that are present in the world today.

Please watch it if you've never seen it before, and I hope you'll watch the remaining five episodes this season.

It has been awhile, I know, but I found another good TV topic.

Entertainment Weekly has created a tournament to determine the greatest television icon or legend. Check it out at www.ew.com/tvicons. It is slow loading, but still fun. Voting ends Nov. 12, and the results will be revealed that night.

Well, it has been two years since I first signed up with TV.com, and I decided this is the perfect time to write that first blog. Who knows what I'll say, but at least I'm saying something.

These two years on this site, and the several years before it on TVtome.com, have been good enough for me. I stumbled upon TVtome while looking for a list of episodes that I missed, and I loved what I found there. The transistion to TV.com has had its bumps, but overall, it has gotten better. Sure there is room for improvement, and hopefully CNET will continue to devote time and resources to listening to user suggestions and incorporating them into the site.

I love visiting this site every day and reading the musings of other TV fans like myself. You all have shared so much and I feel at home here. I do leave notes when appropriate, but otherwise I only read.

While my time can't always be spent contributing, I do like how there's always someone there watching and putting in the effort to make this site better. The data is why I'll never be able to leave. And the users are why it is here. That's how I know it is the best TV resource out there.

Well, I had hoped to have fancy pictures or something here to spice this up, but I don't know what I'm doing yet. Maybe next time I'll give it a shot. And now I get to patiently wait for my first comments. Who's it gonna be? Have a good day, everyone!
