Inspector Gadget Down On the Farm Avg Score: 7.87 Total Ratings: 13 Total Reviews: 2 |
This is one of the first Inspector Gadget episodes I saw in recent years when I was trying to rediscover this show. It was a perfect example of what's supposed to happen in each episode of the series. It has all of the points that occur in each episode, in which Gadget and Penny and Brain are doing something, the self-destructing message bit occurs, Penny has Brain follow him, Dr. Claw has his MAD Agents try to do Gadget in, Gadget thinks they are helpful allies, Penny and Brain do all the work in solving the case, Gadget gets all the credits, Dr. Claw flies away angrily in his jet, and then ends with a safety tip. The only flaw in this one is the bad animation, since it was animated in Taiwan instead of Japan, like many episodes are. I highly recommend this as an episode if you plan to watch Inspector Gadget for the first time.

The Amazing Race Say Your Deepest Prayers Ever Avg Score: 8.87 Total Ratings: 47 Total Reviews: 9 Users who disagree: 4 |
I should've known the models were gonna win. They were big winners from the start. They were athletic and a male team that was straight. People hate guys like that. It would be more realistic if it were a couple of total nobodies who won, or one of the Six Pack members, but NOOOOOOOOOOOooooooo, the models had to do everything. I didn't watch this "generic" reality show voluntarily, I was forced to. It'd have been better if the Alabamas won, or even Rob and Kimberly, who spent WAY too much time fighting and fussing so much they lost it! The end.

Ren and Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon Avg Score: 7.18 Total Ratings: 171 Total Reviews: 15 |
I was a bit nervous at first when I read all the bad reviews about the first episode. But I was glad the first episode of the series I saw was "Ren Seeks Help." But now I shall get on with my review...
This show is AN INSTANT CLASSIC!!! You heard me! The first, plotless episode "Onward and Upward" was a bumpy start, but "Ren Seeks Help" happily returned to what I like to see in Ren and Stimpy. I can't wait for the Lost Episode DVD to come out soon!
It's great to hear John K. as Ren again! It doesn't sound right at times but that might be because they didn't speed it up like they did on the old episodes. Eric Bauza's Stimpy sounds pretty decent at some points; it sounds perfect on "Ren Seeks Help." We also have Harris Peet and Cheryl Chase back, as well as some new voice actors like John K.'s dad! The original KPM/Associated Production Music tunes are there, of course, and it is chock full of all the old classic Hanna-Barbera sound effects, including some that date deep into the 50s and 60s! The animation seems like a cross between classic Spumco and Games Animation style, but the characters look at bit decent at times.
Plus, for the first time I've known, Spumco started censoring their own cartoons by themselves. They added a loud "HONK" to most times the F-word is said instead of the usual bleep (yes, they use profanity in this show!), and they were fortunate to air on Spike TV, so they could show R-rated-type stuff in it. You'll probably have to wait till you're 17 to see this cartoon, but it's still good nonetheless. Try skipping "Onward and Upward" and go right to "Ren Seeks Help." You'll see what a great cartoon series this is!

The Ren and Stimpy Show I Love Chicken / Powdered Toast Man vs. Waffle Woman Avg Score: 6.30 Total Ratings: 22 Total Reviews: 4 Users who agree: 1 Users who disagree: 1 |
The I Love Chicken episode was OK; I actually kinda liked it. But the Waffle Woman episode was, without a doubt, one of the WORST Ren and Stimpy episodes ever! It's unfunny, and that Little Johnny will easily get on your nerves! They tried to make it better with the stormy transformation sequence for Waffle Woman, and it starts good for a few seconds, but it instantly is weighed down for some reason. They also messed up the "I Like Pink" cartoon PTM was watching; they had Poopie saying Explodey's lines! Plus, there are even a couple of scenes in that episode that could be OFFENDING! For one, the President is killed at one part. Plus, during the big battle near the end, we see New York City getting blown up, complete with the World Trade Center in it! I bet they're gonna ban this episode in the future cause of that. Plus, on pre-2001 reruns, they teamed up the PTM vs. Waffle Woman episode with ANOTHER bad one: "Aloha Hoek!"

Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! Never Ape an Ape Man Avg Score: 8.40 Total Ratings: 30 Total Reviews: 1 |
As a long-time Hanna-Barbera fan, this is one of my favorite Scooby-Doo episodes to be produced. It is pretty cool, since it takes place on a movie studio. And we get to see Jean Vanderpyl (Wilma Flintstone) voice someone in this episode. But anyways, like many Hanna-Barbera cartoons, this is the episode they'd always do with a bad guy impersonating the good guy. They've done it with Fred Flintstone impersonated by an alien, and another one had Squiddly Diddly being impersonated by a spy, and Ricochet Rabbit also experienced some Double Trouble. This would also happen to Hong Kong Phooey and Richie Rich years later. In this example, we get Scooby-Doo being impersonated by the Ape Man! Sure, he only has a mask instead of a full costume, but it's very realistic. Hanna-Barbera seems to always design realistic costumes for disguise scenes in their shows, and this is no exception. In fact, I might try making a Scooby-Doo mask myself! (once I get the money) Sure, Scooby was also impersonated by J.C. Chasez in 2005 on "A Scooby-Doo Valentine," but this is way better.
