This should go down as one of the saddest series' finales of all time. When compared to other finales like, Family Ties, The Cosby Show, Cheers, LA Law, Hill Street Blues, Magnum P.I., and NYPD Blue, I wanted to cry. Seeing how Maritza chose to sacrifice herself to stop Marcel was very selfless. And then learning that the members of the 55 would dispersed was where I almost shed a tear. I mean they have been together for so long and been through a lot; one can't ehlp but wonder why they would not be part og the new station. And seeing Doc again was nice but when he told Carlos he could not be at his wedding was disappointing. I thought he was better but now we get the hint that he might be locked up forever. And seeing Sully all alone broke my heart; Carlos and Holly got married,as were Grace and Finney, Ty and Sascha were together and thinking of getting married, and Faith and Captain Miller were dating and thinking of moving in together. I also felt sorry for Bosco, one would think that he is also headed down the same path that Sully went down--being alone. And also why didn't they include Manny when they were being given their new assignments. And I also don't understand why Sully didn't talk about what happened to Kim and Jimmy. We saw them at Catlos' wedding but that's all. He could have said that they're okay still together. They could have said that Kim became an instructor like Grace. I also found the final clip of Carlos and Holly's wedding not credible. All the other character's would take place a few years in the future but their wedding took place after they left the precinct. Probably they should have shown them with their family. And also I think the final shot that they should ahve used for the closing credits was of all them standing together in the precinct before leaving instead of Ty and Sully saying goodbye. Hopefully they'll have a reunion show one of these days.

When Monk and Natalie went to the petstore, Monk was intrigued by the bird, Sgt. Pepper, because it seems that he also going through the same thing that Monk is--losing his great love and is also orderly and neat. The guy was offering it to him for free, so why didn't he take it? In Monk and the kid, Monk considered taking the boy in permanently, and I'm sure part of the reason he considered that was because he behaved like Monk. So why didn't Monk take Sgt. Pepper? Monk could use the company; I mean misery loves company.

First, Mac was not there that much. I would have thought that she and/or Sturgis would be defending Harm or at least be working on the case. And what happened to Commander Lee was almost like what happened to Peter White on St. Elsewhere and so many others. I know that there was a need for someone to be responsible for what happened to Lt. Singer but making Lee the one is almost like what happened to Peter White when they turned him into a rapist. John Astin who joined Murder She Wrote during the second as some slick realtor, wanted to leave to join Mary Tyler Moore's new sitcom so he was made into one of the killers on the show who was caught in the end. And on Hunter John Finn who played Lt. Finn who was Hunter's supporter would become a vigilante and get shot in the end. Now Commander Lee appeared on the show's pilot and would be on the show till the show was revamped. Now during that I thought that he and Harm were somewhat tight that's why it was so shocking to see that not only was he responsible for what happened to Lt. Singer but he also tried to frame Harm.

And I have to say that I saw NCIS before I saw this episode and comparing that to this, I'm surprised that Gibbs would let Tony be responsible for the investigation. It's mind boggling.

The show was getting stale. It was always the same old thing. They would take a job and during the course of it, they would get caught by the bad and get locked up in a storage room, warehouse, or something like that and they would find odds and ends and use them to make weapons and use them to beat the bad guys. This episode was what the show needed to revitalize it. I thought that the character of Tia would have been wonderful addition. Only problem, Tia Carrere the actress they chose to play her was already committed to another show. If they knew that they were going to make or at least wanted to make her a cast member, they should have tried and find someone who was not tied to anything so she can join the show. Because she wasn't the show was redone the next season and frankly, I think it was obvious that the show was not going to last, too bad.

This is very much like the Csi Miami episode Grave Young Men wherein a father is trying to help his son. Only difference is that he is not working with the CSI team. In the end it would cost them. In Miami, the father who is a convict on parole was sent back to prison because of a parole violation, in New York, the father who is cop would lose his badge. Also both sons don't think to highly of their fathers. The difference here again is that in Miami, the son was told that his father sacrificed himself to help his son, while in New York not only did the son not want to see his father but was not told that he tried to help him.
