I am so thrilled! My MASH DVDs are on their way! The whole series!
I used to collect MASH VHS but a couple years ago when TV series began to get more popular in DVD format I sold all 40+ tapes at once in a yard sale. Now, finally, I will have the entire series at once.
Compared to the VHS tapes, all the seasons will be together and in order where the tapes had 3 eps from 3 different seasons per tape. they were grouped by theme sort of, I guess. It just wasn't good enough though.

After watching 30 Rock on Thursday (The Head and The Hair) I have come to realize I identify with Kenneth in a lot of ways. Well in some ways.... OK mainly just his views on television.
Jack and Kenneth switch jobs for a day and Jack finally sees how horribly Kenneth is treated by everyone. He tries to talk to him about how he needs to dream bigger and move up in the world and such. Kenneth gives this great speech about why he loves his job. It is that speech that really made me realize I am like Kenneth. (but really just for that speech... sort of cause I'm much cooler)

From the beginning. The hot dog vendor commenting on Lemon's crush going into a church and Lemon mocking the way Jack and Devon would have a threatening whispered talking contest right to the look on everyone's face as they watch the fireworks surrounding Rockefeller Centre this episode has it all and then some.
Every show surprises me with how originally hilarious these writers are.
This one hurt me and it was so worth it! Kenneth was fabulous again. He's so innocently powerful in his job as page you just want to spoon feed him.
But as the show progressed and the plot thickened with Jack and Devon what made it more brilliant was the way their voices got lower and lower as they became more devious.
Its the little details as much as the big ones. Like the clothing issues Lemon was having with Pete. The writing entwines all of these little quirks of each character into a smooth ride that has me anxious to get the entire season on DVD the day it will come out. This episode as much as all the others is the reason why.

This show gets better by the week. I must drive my neighbours insane for the laughing. As Jenna and Liz 'realize' they have upset the natural order of things I could think half of the comedy was from the music played over the scene. It could have had something to do with Jack asking them for their coffee orders too, though. Very well played out.
Kenneth has always been one of my favourites. Tonight was no different. There is nothing like a well played super-optimitist being constantly abused by his co-workers to make you just hang your head and chuckle.
This show is full of tiny little moments that make you burst. A sort of "just when you think you've heard the punchline..." momentum that keeps me coming back. Like the Tracy Biography. Through the show the guys listen to these stories and such, finally getting all excited by the end and really into it. A hapless viewer might think its all about seeing more craziness from Tracy when the boom falls and you miss 30 seconds cause you're laughing so hard.
Don't even get me started on the cousins! LOL
Best episode of the season so far!
