Who is your all-time favorite NFL player?
My favorite player is John Elway:
1. He holds the record for most comebacks in NFL games.
2. Elway won a lot of playoff games and two Superbowls.
3. He was an excellent scrambler.
4. Elway made clutch plays in important games like "The Drive" against Cleveland.
5. He usually didn't have a lot of great players on his team. Elway didn't have the talent around him that Aikman, Bradshaw, or Montana had.
6. Elway was a very tough player. He took hits and kept going.
7. He did not disgrace himself, his team, or the league with off-field problems.
8. He is in the Hall of Fame.
Elway's accomplishments:
148 games won as a starting quarterback - NFL Record
47 game-winning or game-tying drives in the fourth quarter - NFL Record
5-time Super Bowl starting quarterback - NFL Record
50,000+ career passing yards and 3,000+ career rushing yards - NFL Record
7 consecutive seasons with 3000+ passing yards and 200+ rushing yards - NFL Record
NFL Most Valuable Player - 1987
Super Bowl Most Valuable Player - Super Bowl XXXIII
9-time Pro Bowl selection
3-time All Pro selection
Ranks second all-time to only Dan Marino in passing yardage, attempts, completions and 3,000-yard seasons Ranks third all-time in touchdown passes 16 seasons played (234 games) - All with the Denver Broncos

Why Television Networks Cancel Great New Shows
Too many great TV shows are canceled during or after their first season for manifold reasons:
(1) Many networks use new shows as fillers in their time slots. They often don't get shown in the prime time hours. I thoroughly enjoyed both The District and Third Watch, but both shows appeared on late after prime time. It almost inevitable that new shows will not get ratings when they are stuck in terrible time slots.
(2) Networks also move around new shows into different time slots. To make room for a hit series, a sporting event, or reality television; some shows hop from one time to another. It is very difficult and extremely frustrating to track a show that is moved multiple times to different days and times.
(3) The new show might not match the network's core demographics or intended audience. A superb show with elderly stars rarely is favored over series that feature young stars. Furthermore, a channel may decide to change direction and the show no longer matches their intended audience.
(4) Show me the money! Advertisers have a tremendous amount of influence. If a show doesn't sell ads, then it will probably be canceled. Even shows that are hits with the critics and annual awards are not safe.
(5) Series are not always shown in their entirety any more. More channels are splitting seasons in half with a 2 month or longer break in between. This gives new shows even less of a chance of finding an audience.

The Most Beautiful City I Have Visited
Vancouver is the most beautiful city that I have ever visited. Vancouver combines the sensibilities of Victorian England, the grandeur of mountains, the beauty of the coast, and the pristine condition of Canadian gardens. The people are friendly, the Chinese food is excellent, and the shopping is world-class. Vancouver remains the gateway to Canada, contains a thriving arts community, has close links to Hong Kong, and is within driving distance of Seattle. If you are looking for a world-class experience, visit Vancouver.
