I asked myself why I lost my time with this series. No answer comes to mind now that I look back to it.
The concept was good, moving a year in each episode until reaching the end of the series and present time. This concept was new and in same ways was similar to ”24” hours where the concept was also novel and worked extremely well. So, it potentially could have worked as well as ”24” worked when it come up.
But it did not work. It could go anywhere. The first few episodes were good, but from then on, it went down hill.

After seeing the pilot episode, I think this series is not going anywhere.
The episode was slow, not funny, and not even really original. The acting and cast were not the greatest I have ever seen also. Because of all this I do not know if it is going anywhere. I would predict, and I still could be wrong, that this will not make it to half a season, before it gets cancelled, unless something changes radically in the next few episodes. Contrary to the other premier, ”Til Death”, that precedes this series that has potential, this series does not seem to have it.

If ever want to refer to a bad Star Trek episode, in all the different series (and that is well over 500 episodes), this would be the one to mention.
It is incredible how, a series that was so influential in Sci-fi history and that personally I like, can have an episode as bad as this one.
The reason it is this bad has all to do with the plot / story. As a lover of science-fiction in general, I can understand strange and unlikely stories, like time travel, parallel universes, etc.. Not that they exist or could exist (maybe they, maybe they do not), but in this type of episodes the stories are fun and we can follow it. However, now we come to ” The Omega Glory”. A history was about replicating a possible outcome to the America versus the communism fight. The Yang (=Yankees= Americans) have lost a war against the communism and have to fight back to get it back. The problem is not this concept, it is that the parts have names similar to the original and the Yang have the same constitution, declaration of independence and flag. Exactly the same… in a planet light-years way, with no previous contact. Come on. How can believe it? Can you be more egocentric? It is not possible…
Luckily, this is the worst episode and there are not any other this bad. Some better, or not quite as good, but none that is quite this bad…

There was a lot of hype around this show and it is a pretty decent show. The first few episodes have not yet delivered on this hype. It is still no Boston Legal or something like it. There seems to be something missing, although it is not clear what.
Nevertheless, this series can/could still end up being a good / great show. It was a lot going for the show: the cast has some talent, special Victor Garber that is absolutely great. They have a fast moving show. They have some cool effects. Maybe what is missing is some storyline connecting it all.
Let's continue seeing for a while and wait that they can finally make it; otherwise it is going to be a short series...

MacGyver is a large part of my youth television view experience. The TV series that I was wait every week to see, and could not get enough.
It is an interesting idea, very well achieved during its 7 season. With a great performance of Richard Dean Anderson as MacGyver, we had a different type of hero, capable of using day to day things and build the most incredible tools and artifacts to get out of the most difficult situation.
This show was not only entertaining but also had the advantage of from time to time being educational, we could learn chemistry, physics, electrical power, and much more.
Unfortunately, we only had 7 season, we should have had more…
