Top 10 Favorite Games from E3 '08
Now that E3 is over and I have watched many hours of interviews and stage demos I figured I would give you guys the rundown on the 10 games that I can't wait to play.
(This list is in no particular order)
Tomb Raider Underworld :
This game looks amazing. I didn't get into the Tomb Raider series until recently with Legends and I just recently bought Anniversary for the 360. It looks like it is going to true to those games and the places that Laura's exploring look interesting. Plus there are sharks to slay!!!!
Animal Crossing City Folk :
While I never played Animal Crossing on the Gamecube (just bought it yesterday), the DS version was enough to get me hyped on this game. I am a little upset that the only new thing that they are adding is Wii Speak (which is Nintendo's answer to voice chat) it still looks like loads of fun. Going online to visit your friends in their town was a blast on the DS and I know it will be even better on the Wii.
Fable 2 :
After watching the stage demo I really cannot wait for this game to come out later this year. I hope to get around to playing the first one just to get an idea of what the series has to offer. It seems like the possibilities are endless when it comes to decision making in the game. The online co-op is something that I'm looking forward to as well.
Resistance 2 :
As I was watching the stage demo (even though it seemed to be the same from the conference) I couldn't stop staring at how amazing it looked. Sure there were some parts that looked unfinished and not as polished but that is to be expected since it won't be out until later this year. The guns looked pretty cool and that huge monster is CRAZY.
Resident Evi 5 :
The Resident Evil series is one of my favorite series to date so it is a no brainer that I am excited about this one. As other people have said, the co-op in this game is a little reminiscent of Army of Two, but I don't look at it as such a bad thing. The chick in the game looks like she can kick some butt and I couldn't be any happier that Chris Redfield is in it.
Mercanaries 2: World in Flames :
From the looks of it all of those delays seemed to have paid off because this game looks awesome. Everything seems to be destructible and the explosions look pretty cool. I'm still not sure which version I want to get the game on. The PS3 version looks impressive.
Too Human :
After downloading the demo off of XBL earlier this week, August can't get here quick enough. The story seems interesting enough and for some strange reason it reminds me of Mass Effect. The game play is really innovative and I am a fan of the analog combat. Way to go Silicon Knights. Now all they have to do is come out with Eternal Darkness 2.
Little Big Planet :
I don't know if I am that creative to take advantage of all of the cool things that this game has to offer, but I definitely going to try. The user interface looks friendly so I'm sure I won't have a hard time but I honestly think I'm more excited about playing other players levels. Sack Boys FTW!!!
Gears of War 2 :
Giving Locusts the chainsaw and riding Brumacs (don't know if I spelled it right) is all I need to say.
Rock Band 2 :
Don't get me wrong, I am still going to get Guitar Hero World Tour but the song list so far in this game intrigues me more.
Here are some of the XBL/PSN games that I can't wait to download:
Geometry Wars II
Galaga Legions
Braid
Ratchet and Clank Quest for Booty
So there you have it. Those are the games that really caught my eye this year at E3. Before I go I want to thank GameSpot for providing the awesome coverage. I had a blast chatting it up with most of you in the chatroom!!! Can't wait until next year.
Now I'm going back to playing MGS 4. I'm on Act 5 and I'm trying to finish it before the night is over!!!

Ain't No Party Like A........

Tomorrow is my bachelorette party and I am just a tad bit nervous only because I have no clue what to expect. My best friend refuses to tell me anything so I'm basically left in the dark. I plan on having a blast and I will post as many appropriate pictures as I can.
Other than that I have been seriously slacking on the gaming front lately. I initially planned to start Lost Odysessy this week but with all of this coverage here on GS for E3 I got sidetracked. Tomorrow I definitley want to get a few good hours in before I'm off for the night.
Oh.....before I go I wanted to tell you all that I have my fingers crossed for this new job. I had an interview and typing test yesterday and all went well. I've been scheduled for another interview next Thursday....my wedding day. I tried to reschedule but that was the only day available. So I have to high tail it to the interview bright and early and then get on with the rest of the day. Crazy.

Now that I've watched all 3 conferences....
....I can say that I'm not blown away.
Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony all had something to offer but most of the big stuff didn't really stun me. I was actually looking forward to being stunned.
Let me just point out some key features from each conference
Microsoft
-Being able to access XBL over the web.
-XBL Primetime
-Avatars look pretty cool
-New Dashboard
-Gears of War 2....epic
-Final Fantasy XIII coming to the 360....what has this world come to.
Nintendo
-Animal Crossing 2 & Wii Speak
-Grand Theft Auto Chinatown War
Sony
-Resistance 2 looks amazing
-More news on Home....interests me
-Resistance PSP
-God of War III teaser
-New video store
Out of all of them I think Sony had the most to offer. I'm not losing hope though, GS still has some great coverage going on so I look forward to all of the great interviews and coverage of games.
Are any of you disappointed this year with the press conferences?

Going to the Chapel.....

.....and I'm going to get married!!!!!
After being with the same man for 11 years the time has finally come where I will be saying 'I do'. July 24th is the big day. I'm sure I will go crazy 20 times before then.

Friends' Videos
This isn't anti-Madden. I love the game. But it does explore a darker side of the game. An evil side. That confuses people.
A short one this time around, basically reflecting on the past week, the current games I'm playing and more bioshock talk! Lol. Enjoy
5 years on GameSpot deserves a video blog, right? Here it is.
