Finally!!!!!!

Hope everyone is doing well.

So finally a camp trip with NO........

We left Thursday after work...which YAY...meant no work on Friday!! We headed to Pennsylvania and camped near the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. It's a nice little area and they have a bike trail right off the camp ground. It was a beautiful weekend with lots of....

We biked for a total of about 50 miles. It was enjoyable but my....

is killing me!!!

Here's a pic of the trail...

The Pennsylvania Grand Canyon is nice. Nothing like the real Grand Canyon in Arizona but a nice little stop on the way home.

Oh and how could I almost forget the friendly little visiter we had come every night....

As we were sitting by the campfire he would wonder over and just sniff out everything to make sure we didn't leave any snacks. He even came over and sniffed my feet....poor thing....but then went about his business. He never sprayed but it definitely made things interesting!

*****

So what else is new with me....

Not much. Work is still crazy with no free time. Trying to catch up on my work while training someone....not fun. Not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow!

*****

I did finally get a chance to watch Season 1 & 2 of....

So good!! I'm really digging this show and I can't wait for the new season to get here!!

*****

New kitty is adjusting well...now as for Bean that's another story. But Gizmo and Smokey Joe have become buddies and are as cute as can be playing together! Here's one more pic.

That's about it here!

I'm such a s u c k e r...........

Well today I received a text message from my best freind and it said the following:

I need a home, please help me! There was also a picture attached!

So after several e-mails and a dash of guilt I'd like you to meet Smokey Joe, the newest member of my family! The name came in honor of my grandpa who recently pasted away. I found out by looking at some old pics my gramps had a cat named Smokey and my gramps name was Joe...hence the name Smokey Joe.

The kittens (there were 2) were found and my friends boss has been taking care of them in his garage. He is extremely allergic so he can not keep them. He called the local humane society but they would not take them because they are double their capacity and can't house anymore kittens. The guilt comes in because he also said he was going to have to "drop" them somewhere if he couldn't find someone to take them. Now in actuality I don't think he would just leave them somewhere or more that his wife who is a huge animal lover would not let that happen....but of course I couldn't take that chance! Now my next dilemma came because there were two! I felt really awful splitting them up! I'm wierd that way. But mostly what would happen to the other one if I didn't take them both. Now come to find out (I of course was not given this info in the several e-mails of guilt I received today) that he had put an ad in the paper and may have some other interest. But by that time I had already held them so of course I had to take one. I told him if he couldn't find a good home for the other one to let me know...so maybe I will have another addition!

**hugs and peace out**

Say it's not over....

Oh and it's back to reality!

So my week of vacation is over and the extra day off I took today to rest up from my vacation....because vacationing is hard work....is coming to an end!

Once again it was an interesting week with lots of Rain, Rain, Rain!

Which made me think of this tune by The Who!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygOaNo3M_Hw&feature=related

The rain was relentless and we had it EVERY single day! We had breaks of sun but never a full day of it! The second day there it rained the entire day from 8:00 AM until about 7:00 PM and didn't stop not even for a minute! GRRRR!

What made the week interesting....we had rain and lots of it, two flat tires and my "sister-in-law" ended up in the hospital! She's fine and back home now but spent 5 days in the Plattsburgh Hospital!

We made the best of the week and the kids loved it! A bad week at camp is still better than a good week at work! I did get in a lot of kayaking which was a relaxing!

The most disappointing thing about the entire trip was that I didn't get to do my big hike up the mountain!! I look forward to it every year and things just happended and we never had the chance!

We did find a day that wasn't too bad and drove up Whiteface Mountain. It was a bit cloudy but the views weren't too bad.

We then left the Lake Placid area which is where we stayed for the week. The BF and I headed to the Old Forge area which we stayed in a motel for 2 nights. We did a 14 mile kayak trip down the Moose River which was great....or rather started out great. With about an hour left in the trip take a guess....torrential downpour! It was fun though!

Then finally a full day of....

...the day we had to leave!

Oh and Pix, Jon and Twin....I was skimming some comments when I got home and I get the feeling I missed something while I was gone.

**hugs and peace out**

My favorite time of year! :D

Well it's that time of year again...my favorite time....VACATION TIME!!!

We rent a cabin for a week on Silver Lake in the Adirondack Mountains here in New York every year. It is so peaceful and relaxing and I am soooo ready for a break! Work has been streesing me out lately!

Here is where I will be spending most of my time next week!

Most of my time will be spent relaxing by the water with an occasional hike or two planned. With my BF recovering from chemo and his energy level not up to par this years hike will not be as grueling as last years hike - which was up Gothics.

Here is a picture of the mountain we hiked last year!

The one with the rock face is the one we hiked!

We are planning on leaving bright and early Saturday morning...that is that plan anyway...because as you know I am not a morning person!

Although it is funny how much energy you have when you get up early and don't have to go to work!!

I hope you all enjoy your week next week...I know I will!

C-ya when I get back!

**hugs and peace out**

The wrath may be upon me but....Happy Birthday Shazz!

So I debated because I didn't want the wrath of Shazz upon me...but then sized up the wrath of Shazz (notice the finger waggle) and just chuckled at it!

Soooo...SHAZZ...who turns another year older July 10th -

I know this is not your favorite time of year (which is why I debated) but you are a special person who always has a kind word or funny story to share! You're always there with encouraging words and have helped me feel better when I've needed it.

So if this can make you smile for a least a minute then it's worth it!

**hugs for you**

I also wanted to say Happy Birthday to Ally (AllyJackson911) who's birthday is Friday!

**hugs and peace out**

Well I loved this episode. It was a great but torturous ending for the season. What a long summer it is going to be. Although this was an emotional episode I actually thought it was very humorous. I was chuckling a lot. Sammy's a singer...who knew! That scene will be a classic moment. Sam telling Dean you should have totally been jamming "eye of the tiger" and demon killing ginsu....funny! Bobby was great in this episode. "Do I look like a ditchable prom date to you" and "you're almost hell's b*tch" were classic lines. That was funny. Bobby saying family doesn't end with blood. I shed a tear. I love it when he's all fatherly. And Dean telling Sammy we fight the way dad taught us and telling Sammy to take care of his wheels very sad. Like Dean has said before if they go down they go down swinging. Dean realizing the affects of his deal and what it has cost not only him but everyone, I loved that. We also found out that Sam is much more powerful than ever thought or seen before. When Lilith tried to kill him with the white light it had no effect at all. I knew Sam had some powers but as strong or stronger than Lilith. No wonder she wants him dead. So overall I loved the finale. Dean calling for Sam at the end when he was in hell I will hear all summer. I of course was hoping that he would be saved from hell but now Sam just has to find a way to bring him back.

Well I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. It was also a little more gruesome then we have seen lately. The beginning when Sam and Dean were trying to get the demon to give up the contract holder. It was very different than their normal tactics. Oh and Sammy with the exorcism...still love that he can do it off the top of his head!
Sam and Dean split up this episode. Both have different ideas on how to save Dean and go after it in different directions. Sam goes the immortality route and Dean goes after the colt. We finally get the back story on Bela and boy is it good. I had many theories on her past but selling her soul to get rid of her parents was not one of them. The ending of her storyline was played out perfectly. Dean was given an opportunity to have immortality but refused to live and not be human. This was such a good episode. I loved it.

I loved this episode. And although it may not have moved along the story line in terms of Dean's deal it did move it along emotionally. We may have known before that Dean was scared but for him to finally admit it out loud was a big step and so sad. Dean is starting to lose it and panic. He is getting paranoid thinking the demon was tailing him. And the look on Sam's face when he sees how desperate Dean is becoming broke my heart. There was some bickering about the secret keeping and we also seen some bitterness towards Sam creeping out. I just felt so bad for Dean grasping at straws. Dean hoping that it was John on the phone and hoping that his dad would be able to find a way to save him was also sad. I also loved at the end when Dean said that he was the only one that can save him. And always love it when the boys have a beer together. But there were also some funny lines and references in this episode so I was laughing! All and all it was a good episode.

Although at the being of the show I was a little restless for the boys to show up I did end up enjoying this episode. It was well written and a very gutsy move by Kripke and Co. This was more of a comedic episode rather than moving the plot along. But what we did get out of this episode was that Dean has 2 months left. Sam and Dean meet up with the Ghostfacers who are filming a reality show on the Morton House. Every leap year the house becomes haunted and anyone who has tried to stay the night has disappeared. The Ghostfacers set up base camp with some cameras placed through out the house. The entire episode, except for the very end, is shot through hand held cameras - Blair Witch style. This is also the only episode where language has to be bleeped out. It was funny to see the boys this way. This is not your normal SN episode but was enjoyable and had some very funny moments.

I must admit that up until Supernatural I was unfamiliar with Jared Padalecki. I did not watch Gilmore Girls which I know he gained a lot of viewers through. From the first time I seen him on screen I was very impressed with his acting ability. I love him as Sam Winchester on Supernatural. I think he is a great actor and does evil very well. He does a great job connecting with Jensen on the show. I love seeing those two together. I was so impressed with his acting abilities I decided to watch a couple of his movies that I had not seen. I can't wait to see what is in store on Supernatural and look forward to seeing him in other movies or shows.

A little about me. My name is Shelly. I live in NY...not the city. I love music and I have a slight addiction to the TV. I do a lot of camping and love the outdoors. I think it's great to be able to meet so many different people from all over the world. In the short time I have been here I have met so many great people. So thanks! I'm a pretty laid back person and love making new friends. So if you want to chat - chat away! The obsession that brought me here - SUPERNATURAL! **hugs & peace out**
