They might be slow but they get there in the end
A submission I made on 15th June has just been approved! It's nice to see that submissions to shows without editors do get processed eventually and it only took 168 days.

Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows you're name...
That's right I'm back home. Paris was great but I really missed TV. I lay watching CNN for hours the other night because it was the only thing in English. I think it's an addiction, there should be a support group. Something like Teleholics Anonymous. Only better.

Je suis en Paris!
Like the title says I'm in Paris for the weekend. It's been a long time (6 years) since I learned French and I'm a little rusty. I can just about get by with enough pointing at things and a handy dictionary. I'm trying not to fall back on the old technique of speaking but slow and loud in the hopes that people will understand. But my French isn't good enough to understand TV so other than BBC News I'll have to live without TV for a few days. That's quite possibly a first for me.
There's a company here called Manga Distribution which does loads of great 80s cartoons on DVD like Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, Thundercats, MASK, He-Man and Transformers. Not all of them are available back home so I wonder how come they can get them in French and we can't get them in English? Makes me wish I spoke French better.

I made Level 2!
Well I've finally made Level 2 and decided to use my blog. All in one day, I don't know if I can take all this excitement.
It was weired going from being an editor on TV Tome to not even being able to contribute here but now I can actually start to contribute stuff again.
Just a thought but why does the blog spell checker question the spelling of blog?

Okay I'll admit it, I wasn't the biggest fan of Enterprise.
When I first heard about the show I was really unsure. TNG and DS9 had been great but it took me a while to really get into Voyager and I figured they should take a few years off before doing anything else. I wasn't sure how setting it before TOS was going to work either.
When the show started I feared I was right. I couldn't get into the characters, there were gaping plot holes and some of the story lines (the Temporal Cold War and the Xindi in particular) didn't feel right to me.
But then came the last series. I think that TNG, DS9 and Voyager didn't really hit their stride until about series 4 and it seemed to be the case here too. I thought the storylines were very good, they answered most of the plot holes and we learnt a lot more about the characters which made them more interesting and made it easier to like them.
So just when I was starting to really appreciate Enterprise it came to a premature demise. This will be the first time in a long time that there's no new Star Trek on TV in one form or another. Maybe Enterprise deserved a little longer.
