Grieving for Gilmore Girls... I`ll even miss him!

*Knock, knock* How's everyone doin'?

Well, the title sums it all up. Before learning how you guys are, I'm gonna give the scoop on my life ..=)) Only ninetysomething days left for the big test for me, dates are announced, the first part being on 15 June and the second following a week after, 22 June. I gotta admit, I've started to feel tense, more than I thought I would ever feel, and the workload has even become harder (was it even possible?!?!?!)

So lately my life has been determined by my immediate needs and studying. I'm at school 8 hours a day, then right after that 2 hours at courses, 8 more hours at weekends each day... But I have to admit, I've never felt this info-loaded in my life...

That's all I can manage for now, stop by and leave a word or two,
Missed you loads!

Love, BuRCu =))

Ho,ho, ho.... Ugh!?

Yeah, that's me, jumping around in the class with a silly Santa hat on my head and hitting my knee to the desk...So, hey everybody,I've been quiet for so long here, but I couldn't have waste the opportunity to sneak in and wish you all a very happy, healthy and awesome New Year!

New Year Quotes:

The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul.
G. K. Chesterton

Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let each new year find you a better man.
Benjamin Franklin

Year's end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.
Hal Borland

The Old Year has gone. Let the dead past bury its own dead. The New Year has taken possession of the clock of time. All hail the duties and possibilities of the coming twelve months!
Edward Payson Powell

Cheers to a New Year and another chance for us to get it right.
Oprah Winfrey

Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
Alfred, Lord Tennyson, 1850

For last year's words belong to last year's language
And next year's words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning.
T.S. Eliot, "Little Gidding"

We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day.
Edith Lovejoy Pierce

Glory to God in highest heaven,
Who unto man His Son hath given;
While angels sing with tender mirth,
A glad new year to all the earth.
Martin Luther

A happy New Year! Grant that I
May bring no tear to any eye
When this New Year in time shall end
Let it be said I've played the friend,
Have lived and loved and labored here,
And made of it a happy year.
Edgar Guest

We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives... not looking for flaws, but for potential.
Ellen Goodman

The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul and a new nose; new feet, a new backbone, new ears, and new eyes. Unless a particular man made New Year resolutions, he would make no resolutions. Unless a man starts afresh about things, he will certainly do nothing effective.
G.K. Chesterton

New Year Resolutions Quotes

Many people look forward to the new year for a new start on old habits.
Author Unknown

A New Year's resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other.
Author Unknown

Never tell your resolution beforehand, or it's twice as onerous a duty.
John Selden

The new year begins in a snow-storm of white vows.

Andre Gide

One resolution I have made, and try always to keep, is this: To rise above the little things.

Joey Adams

He who breaks a resolution is a weakling;
He who makes one is a fool.
F.M. Knowles

Each age has deemed the new born year

Walter Scott

Youth is when you're allowed to stay up late on New Year's Eve. Middle age is when you're forced to.
Bill Vaughnv

An optimist stays up until midnight to see the new year in. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves.
Bill Vaughan

No one ever regarded the First of January with indifference. It is that from which all date their time, and count upon what is left. It is the nativity of our common Adam.
Charles Lamb

The proper behavior all through the holiday season is to be drunk. This drunkenness culminates on New Year's Eve, when you get so drunk you kiss the person you're married to.
P.J. O'Rourke

People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas.

Each age has deemed the new-born year
The fittest time for festal cheer.

Of all sound of all bells... most solemn and touching is the peal which rings out the Old Year.
Charles Lamb

It wouldn't be New Year's if I didn't have regrets.
William Thomas

Time has no divisions to mark its passage, there is never a thunder-storm or blare of trumpets to announce the beginning of a new month or year. Even when a new century begins it is only we mortals who ring bells and fire off pistols.
Thomas Mann

New Year's is a harmless annual institution, of no particular use to anybody save as a scapegoat for promiscuous drunks, and friendly calls and humbug resolutions.
Mark Twain

Every man regards his own life as the New Year's Eve of time.
Jean Paul Richter

The only way to spend New Year's Eve is either quietly with friends or in a brothel. Otherwise when the evening ends and people pair off, someone is bound to be left in tears.
W.H. Auden

And if you do make New Year's Resolutions...(we all know you do... )

10 Tips for Keeping New Year's Resolutions:

1. Be realistic

The surest way to fall short of your goal is to make your goal unattainable.

2. Plan ahead
Don't make your resolution on New Year's Eve. If you wait until the last minute, it will be based on your mindset that particular day.

3. Outline your plan

Decide how you will deal with the temptation to skip that exercise ****or have one more cigarette.

4. Make a "pro" and "con" list
It may help to see a list of items on paper to keep your motivation strong. Develop this list over time, and ask others to contribute to it. Keep your list with you and refer to it when you need help keeping your resolve.

5. Talk about it

Don't keep your resolution a secret. Tell friends and family members who will be there to support your resolve to change yourself for the better or improve your health. The best case scenario is to find yourself a buddy who shares your New Year's resolution and motivate each other.

6. Reward yourself

This doesn't mean that you can eat an entire box of chocolates if your resolution is to diet. Instead, celebrate your success by treating yourself to something that you enjoy that does not contradict your resolution. If you've been sticking to your promise to eat better, for example, perhaps your reward could be going to a movie with a friend.

7. Track your progress

Keep track of each small success you make toward reaching your larger goal. Short-term goals are easier to keep, and small accomplishments will help keep you motivated. Instead of focusing on losing 30 pounds, say, focus on losing that first 5. Keeping a food diary or a symptom journal may help you stay on track.

8. Don't beat yourself up

Obsessing over the occasional slip won't help you achieve your goal. Do the best you can each day, and take each day one at a time.

9. Stick to it
Experts say it takes about 21 days for a new activity, such as exercising, to become a habit, and 6 months for it to become part of your personality. Your new healthful habits will become second-nature in no time.

10. Keep trying
If your resolution has totally run out of steam by mid-February, don't despair. Start over again! There's no reason you can't make a "New Year's resolution" any time of year.

I felt really bad for the poor sod but even for that tattooed body, the movie is worth watching! Thursday night the Calendar Girls was on tv and happily I caught it. Helen Mirren is a brilliant actress and it is a great heart warming movie. And finally tonight the 4th season of The 4400 finally premiere's here!!! Just so excited right now!

Amazing. Ever since April showed up it was beginning to grow and with this shocking season finale it just exploded. Luke and Lorelai, two people unable to commit, yet just so perfect for each other. But some problems are more then they can overcome. For the first time in her life, Lorelai is in love and ready for marriage. Luke's behaviour is saddening her. She keeps it in, pretends that she understands, she is happy with waiting, but she is not. So coming to a realization, she goes and confronts Luke. His slowness costs a lot. At least, a season with them apart. The only thing I didn't like about this episode was when Lorelai went to Chris for comfort. If this hadn't happened, maybe we could have a better 7th season. Maybe not... Still one of the best episodes of the whole series!!

I don't know but I think she'll always be Buffy for me, fearless vampire slayer. That role is like a trademark for her , something you would call the role of her life. I watched her in Scream, I Know What you Did Last Summer, Grudge and Scooby Doo's. But she's Buffy, that's the way it is. I loved the way how she brought so much depth to her character in Buffy. Strong yet very human and scared, but at the same time very fearless. The kind of friend who would only bring trouble but still your best friend. I think I liked the episodes The Body and the Gift the most because especially in The Body she lets us see how much of a little girl Buffy really is. All in all, she's a very charming, talented actress hope she gets more roles to shine.

I admit it. I looovveee medical dramas. It's just the pace and the tone of drama there. The life and death belongs together there under one roof. And of course I'm a junkie of the comedies. So what happens if you combine these two genres? You have a hit show, named Scrubs... The daydreams of J.D nervousness of Elliot, bossy Carla and brown bear the cute guy Chris Turk, the devil himself Bob Kelso, the edgy Dr.Cox ans the Janitor, or as he called him a couple of times, Jan Itor... It's the way the the show even the characters are making fun of themselves, it's not too serious, but it's not always laughing either. Even some of the funniest jokes are the part of the drama when Scrubs is the subject. It's rare that a show balances them this well. It's a must watch for every episode!

When you think of the concept, it's hard to do a good prison drama. Especially on TV. There are limited themes you can show and if you have to do it every week, it's even harder. This show brought a fresh-breath to prison dramas and revived them. With unique and exciting characters played by really good looking hot guys, this shoe quickly became my favorite. Genius Micheal and Muscle Lincoln, unite to escape fro the prison. Lincoln is going to be presecuted for murdering the brother of the vice-president Reynolds (soon to be president). Michael goes in to prison to save him. And then there is Sara. The doctor at prison and the daughter of the governor. From the first moment Michael and she met that's torrid. MiSa is so CANON!! :D

That was the reaction when my brother told me about Spongebob Squarepants. "It's awesome!" he said. "You gotta watch it!" Me being me, I didn't for along time. And one day he came home with season 1 DVDs. After a while he started to watch it everyday for hours. I was like "Enoouuuggghhh!!!" And one day I was in the room while he was watching and then I noticed that I was laughing like crazy. Sandy and Spongebob were doing karate and it was hilarious. Then I started to watch with my brother on a daily basis. Now it's my favorite cartoon. One of the best, Nick did for a while. Don't think about the weird things and just watch. You'll have fun.
