Blade: The Series = Thumbs Down. Marathon dull.
I hope I don't PO too many people with my harsh judgment on
the television version of Blade. It is just that I
found the villains and side kick much more interesting than the star.
Spike TV may be enjoying good ratings now, but I can't imagine the series
sustaining it's current ratings.
Watching Kyle 's first crush in Kyle XY is heartbreaking!
As true as life is, watching Kyle figure out that he has special feelings for Amanda, then having his feelings yanked out from under him, when Amanda brings a boyfriend, is very tough to watch. This is especially hard since this is the first official party Kyle is allowed to go to. The writers are doing a fantastic job increasing the dramatic intensity of the series. Each successive spotting of Nicholas Lea as the Mystery Man is filled with an ominous, scary, foreboding feeling. I can't wait to see the next episode.
Sunday Television July 2006 is a real delight!
Thank goodness I have cable on Sunday nights since I enjoy The 4400 and The Dead Zone so much. Even Cold Case is pretty good (even if it is in reruns now.) I've been in and out as far as Big Brother goes. The group is mediocre at best at this point.
I'm so hacked!
I have just had a second contribution submission rejected. I had made a review of Jean-Luc Bilodea. The rationale was pretty flimsy considering the amount of stuff they allow in. Since these rejections are added in a statistical analysis the sight provides the action has discouraged me about tv.com.

Casting directors have recognized his HOT looks and engaging personality since his role in MTV's risque "Undressed" He is a graduate of Princeton University with a BA in ecology and evolutionary biology! Hopefully he will develop into a major A List actor as time unfolds.

Who Wants to Be a Superhero? Avg Score: 8.15 Total Ratings: 510 Total Reviews: 55 Users who disagree: 1 |
Stan Lee, Chairman Emeritus of Marvel Comics is portrayed as the larger than life ultimate arbiter and judge over the actions of the contestants. All that was missing in his closing remarks was a maniacal laugh or over pompous delivery and exaggerated gestures in his last platitudinal remarks.
I am crazed over the premise and basic boundaries established in the first segment. However, a red flag shot up over the quick elimination of two males (one guy is quite attractive and the other is a bit nerdy – but still cute) in the first episode. For females we have a “Fat Momma” a real skanky, “Creature” and the ridiculous “Monkey Woman.” The writers may be overcompensating self loathing homophobes. I hope this isn't demonstrated as the show progresses. The series is a gold mine for campiness. We should see positive, progressive, and enlightened ideas exhibited. The pontifications by Stan Lee will become horribly hollow if the writers don't rectify some obvious problems with male characterization.

The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson Avg Score: 8.63 Total Ratings: 428 Total Reviews: 47 Users who agree: 1 Users who disagree: 4 |
Michael Ian Black had to have been a top contender for the spot because he was invited back several times prior to the decision being made. How Ferguson's rank amateurish antics won over Black is beyond me. I hope that it wasn't primarily Letterman’s decision!
Both Ferguson and O'Brien, more often than not, begin their show with pathetically. At least O'Brien gets better once he sits behind the desk. Ferguson is crass from start to finish. When judged against the smoothness of a Carson Daly, one has to wonder just how long CBS will continue to maintain such an exercise in poor judgment.

The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Avg Score: 8.31 Total Ratings: 1492 Total Reviews: 65 Users who disagree: 3 |
His interviews have become almost salacious as his ending draws near. The manner in which he seems so intent on gleaning information about the guest's personal life and especially their marital status is most distasteful.
He particularly pries into the personal life of his single guests. He reminds you of that nosy aunt that is always trying to fix you up if you happen to be single. His constant yammering about when someone is going to get married, etc. borders on pathological. I won't be sorry to see him go.
