My Business Studies Lesson

After nearly a whole year of AS Business Studies, i'm finally grasping it, and i'm finding all the lessons funny and interesting, so i'm sucking in all the information that's given to me. This has given me alot more confidence about the exam, in June.

My first blog

This is my very first blog since my joining of the site over a year ago. Um, i don't really know what to say in these things, i'll start with - hi, how r u? i'm feeling good. exams coming up though, but i'm feeling quite confident about me business one. Anyway, If you've seen any of my reviews, you can guess that i'm a very big Scrubs fan. But isn't it just a tremedous show, smart and witty, hmm? I'm also a huge film buff and want to go into acting, directing and writing, and that's been an inspiration by one of the stars of Scrubs, Zach Braff.

Spiderman 3 comes out 2day, an man does it look awsome. really looking forward to seeing that on sunday. Other films that look good are Magicians, Pirates 3, Smiley Face and The Fast Track (which i'll probably only see cos of ZB). Wow, i can't believe how i sound gay for Braff. But what the hey, he's my idol, everyone's got to have one right.

Anywho, just bought the new Shins album. That song Australia, wow. So great. Check 'em out if you havn't heard of them. Other bands i'm into are the british pop rock bands - Travis, Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Keane, Feeder & Oasis. I also like alot of solo artists including Jack Johnson, Cary Brothers, Joshua Radin, Nick Drake, Imogen Heap, Gruff Rhys, Stephen Malkmus loads.

Well, i'll wrap it up there for now. I'm sure to be back soon.

I'm not sure if it's because i've watched Scrubs for so long or what, but i've been disappointed in season 7 in general. People say 707 was a bad episode, but i think this is.

First of all, a quick rant about the overall quality of this series. Now, i absolutley loved the first 2 episodes of this season, they were hilarious and a nice dose of drama, but now its just getting silly. It's kinda like the creators don't know where they want the show to head. I mean seriously: pretty much every episode this season has been about JD growing up, it's like they totally forgot that JD still has feelings for Elliot from My Cold Shower based on how they are going on it (i know Bill has said this season wont be about JD & Elliot, but at least make it believable), speeking of which, what has happened to Elliot? Ever since she wore that lab coat and started dating Keith she turned into a cocky **** I thought that may change once she broke up w/ Keith but obviously not, oh and this is stupid of me but can she straighten her hair again, The Janitor has just gotten silly (hearing bells, thinking he has magical powers, etc.), and what is with just one fantasy an episode (and it's always long and drags out, what happened to the early, quick, fast pace, fantasy's)

Now on to this episode, sorry about that.

When i first saw Kelso talking Boone on the bench, i did think we were gonna get a cool kinda of flash back sequence going on (not flashbacks from the show i.e. a clip show, but like from his first time at the hospital for example), but no we had to hear him just ramble until the end of the episode.

Then (like i said in my rant) The Janitor was just silly and un-funny i.e. i have magical powers. And JD and Turk were just... meh, uncute.

And i'm not convinced why Elliot would help Kelso after 3 years of torturing, and season 6 when he wouldn't talk to her. They could at least acknowledge it any how, they could've had something like, "i spent almost 6 years of him being a jerk, but its made me who i am today" something sh*t like that.

Now, don't get me wrong i loved the final 3 minutes, with the twist and Kelso will be missed, but overall, it's upsetting to know that this is the sort of episode that Kelso had to leave in.

Come on, shape up guys.

This may contain spoilers. So again, Scrubs are keeping up the good work and i'm glad they've brought Dan back as he's always a blessing. Not as good as the first 2 episodes, but still a solid episode as it had great humour i.e. Turk and his face paint, plus his reaction to the behive (look behind JD after seeing his car), Dan's entrance was great also. On a personal note, i love how they introduce him in every appearance. I was dissapointed with Elliot's storyline as i felt it didn't really develop too much, although i like Dr. Cox's teasing, as always. Plus i hate the fact how they are over using and bluntly putting the word 'frick' as the word 'f*ck' nowaday's. The Janitors storyline was okay, but did seem forced abit, although it was suppose to be green week on NBC.

Overall, a solid episode.

Before i review the episode, i have been dissapointed, like everyone else, with series 3. The storylines seem so forced and the continuity has bugged me a bit as well. For example, the Bang and Burn operation - why didn't the company try that first, instead of using Michael? Also how come Gretchen was able to get on prison grounds after being captured and killing one of the guards? Also being mislead from season 2 finale that Sona is more dangerous then we actually thought. But anyway, moving on...

After the mid break (due to writer's strike) the episodes really, really picked up with 'Dirt Nap', followed by 'Under & Out', and 'High or Hell Water'. Now we reach the finale, and what a finale it was (yes i'm aware that this originally wasn't suppose to be the season finale).

This episode had it all - suspense, tension, action, twists, emotion and a death to add a cherry on top. We start off with an intense chase sequence (leading off from last episodes conclusion), the do wish though that they acknowledged the fact that Whistler faked his bad ankle. Then we get to the exchange which i thought was great, especially with the inverted roles, with Michael & Linc (mainly Michael) in control for pretty much the first time this season. I loved how Michael avoided every trap, from moving out of the snipers position, to how he escpaed from the museam. Then we get to more action and tension with bullets flying, one being caught by Sofia in the leg. Then we are teased with Michael about to kill Gretchen. Then following that we have an emotional moment where Michael recieves a paper flower from LJ, who found it in the room Sara was held captive. Then we get a few twists and questions - the brief case under the bed, and Mahone joining the company again.

I really liked this episode, thought it was very solid. So far, so good this season. Hopefully it won't stop. If the episodes are as good as these first 2, then this may be the best season.

Anyway onto the episodes. Warning, this review may contain spoilers. Don not read any further if you've yet to see this episode.

First off, i did like the storyline with Turk and Carla playing the video game, it drew away from the drama that the other storylines had (Dr. Cox trying to find a doctor to give his daughter a shot & JD and Kim having a baby), as they were more dramatic. I'm liking the direction the season is going, and i'm glad Kim and JD aren't together. I don't really know why, but i just don't like them as a couple. Anyway, great job again guys. Keep up the great work.

I liked this episode. Well written and directed, and it definatley had that Season Premiere feel to it. I thought it was very solid as all the storylines had enough time to develop and conclude. However, i was a little disapointed that the Janitor's "Lady" friend wasn't developed more, but hopefully it will in the upcoming episodes (only 17 left now). Now onto JD/ Elliot, i'm glad to see that if they do end up together, the writers are giving enough time for their relationship to re-develope. As i hated the way Ross and Rachel's relationship from Friends was rushed in the final 3. Scrubs are giving it a whole season and 4 episodes (Cold Shower - Point of No Return). Anyway, i don't really care about that right now, as long as this season is amazing, i'm happy.

Good Job Bill on a fantastic season opener.
