WOW Where did I go?

Hey everyone!!! I know people must be wondering where did I go? Work has been keeping me really busy, and with no computer at home I can't post like I used to. I'm still an avid television watcher though!!! Hooked on I Love Money, G's to Gents, Project Runway, etc., etc. I'm going to lose my mind come Monday with Puffs new show, NY's new show. Not too sure if I will follow Lukes reality show, but I probably will.

I need to change my name from soulfood2dvd to something else now that all 5 seasons of Soul Food were released!!! I still have to buy my season 5 set. One of these days I will be back on TV.com posting like I used to. Maybe I will try and do it once a week until then.

So to everyone who was keeping up with my postings sorry I left you all like that. But life takes over!!

Comcast moving channels

I was watching House of Payne last Wednesday and an interesting commercial came on informing me that TBS is moving October 1, 2007 to channel 39. Right now Channel 39 is ABC Family. Now normally that would not bother me, except my other favorite show Lincoln Heights is on ABC Family!!! So if anyone has any idea where ABC Family is being moved to please let me know!!

My only guess is ABC Family is either moving lower to like channel 76 or 77, or it's being moved to a digital channel and then I will be too upset!! I'm still on analog right now.

I would hate to miss Lincoln Heights because of the channel move.

Big Brother All Stars - Sunday 8/6/2006

Well after hanging on a web, Danielle tells Ericka to give her the HOH win, and she is now dubbed the Black Widow.  Well Black Widow puts up James, and Janelle.  Danielle must not realize how competitive Janelle can be when it comes to Veto competitions, so James better kick butt!!!  Danielle had better hope that Janelle does not end up getting saved, because Danielle may as well pack her bags, because she will be next!!!

I'm trying to figure out when did Marcelle and Danielle start speaking?  I must have missed something, because I thought Marcelle could not stand Danielle?  All I have to say is this is and interesting season, and I honetly can't pin point who could end up winning.

Big Brother All Stars - Sunday 7/30/2006

I'm going to be honest.  The only reason I'm watching this is mainly there is nothing else on.  LOL  I do tend to miss the Tuesday shows watching Fear Factor, but watch Sunday and Thursday.

My take on the Sunday show.  James is talking about how he wants to get rid of Will, but when he was HOH, and had that oppotunity, he did nothing!!!  What did he do?  He had the house get rid of Jase, so why is he putting the preassure on Jannell to get rid of Will now?

No one seems to really want to get rid of him, and if Will manages to win an HOH, trust me he will go after the Season 6 alliance with a vengence.  Howie is simply riding on the coat tails of the alliance, so he is no real big threat.  I can see Will going after James and Kaysar.  He swears Jannelle is in love with him, so he probably would not go after her that hard, but then again with this game you never know.

What I'm hoping will happen is Erika wins the Power of Veto, take herself off, and Will will be placed in her place.  Well I guess we will see what happens on Tuesday won't we.

NBC putting the Apprentice up Against Fox's 24

I have a message for NBC....YOU'RE FIRED!!!!

I mean for me this is a no brainer. I like the Apprentice, but I'm a huge fan of 24, and I'm already watching 24, and will not stop watching 24 to watch the Apprentice. Why isn't NBC putting the Appentice back on Thursday's? NBC will find out the hard way that putting the Apprentice opposite 24 is a huge mistake!!!!

In this installment the ladies prepare to go on the Tyra Banks show. Spinderella will also be coming into town for the performance, and the ladies will have to have a heavy talk. Salt is the Momma of the group, Pepa the fun Auntie while Spinderella is seen as the little sister. Spinderella felt like she should have been a third of the group, not just the "DJ", but Salt felt she should have known her place so to say. Pepa meets Spinderella at the airport, and then they go Party. Salt leaves first, and reminds the girls what time rehearsal start the next day. Spin and Salt are there on time. Pepa is late, late, late. She finally arrives, and they do rehearse, but her being late dredges up old feelings for Salt about having to deal with Pepa and her tardiness. During the rehearsal, Salt changes one of her verses. Nothing drastic, instead of How does it hang, she says Can we hang. After the ladies try on clothing for the show, they have a pretty intense discussion. Spin feels even though she was not part of the group when they started she did contribute, and that should mean something. She did not feel like a true group member. The ladies thought they did make her feel included, but she felt when it came to money she was not. She had to remind Pepa she is not that 16 year old anymore, she is a grown woman now. I think that shocked Pepa a little. I think she is surprised whenever anyone stands up to her. The ladies work out their differences, and I think they can now begin work on healing which is what they wanted to do. It was a good show, and it revealed a lot.

I am going on record to say I do NOT like Tailor Made. In fact NY misnamed him, his name should be PUNK because he is totally acting like one. Running to her room to tell on folks like he is in Junior High School. I know it's wrong, but I wish Buddah had made his elimination worth it, and beat the living snot out of Tailor!! Buddah is talking to Tailor about how Tailor back stabbed Cheesy, and before you know it, things get heated really quick. Buddah tosses orange juice in Tailor's face, backs Tailor in a corner leaving him yelping like a little girl. Head butts Tailor, and then they go at it on the stairs. You could tell Tailor was trying to decide, do I run like a little mouse or do I stand up to Buddah. The other guys separate the two, and Buddah finally realizes he messed up. He fell for the mind screw. He took himself out of the game, and feel for the plan Tailor had like a fool!!! I liked Buddah too, and he needs to learn to get his anger in check. While I admire him for wanting to stand up for Cheesy, Cheesy was gone!! Buddah was still in the house, and the front contender!! Dumb, Dumb, Dumb!!!

The scene of the guys having to take a butt whooping by those kick boxing women, hilarious!!! I kinda felt bad for Midget Mac, but hey he wants to compete, he had to take a whooping. Mr. Wise was selfish. He was wrong to stay in the ring the full 6 min the way he did, but on the same token 20 pack should have been more vocal about it. When Tailor Made spit on Mr. Wise I just knew he was going home!! I can't believe that NY kept him in the house. I'm totally out done, but Tailor Made is going to have a horrible, horrible time in the house. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I'm looking forward to when Chance returns to the house now. What the heck is wrong with me? Ick!!!!!

The Salt 'N' Pepa Show
Whatta Manhunt
Avg Score: 8.70    Total Ratings: 1    Total Reviews: 1
This episode was actually a little comical. Pepa is wanting a man, a mighty good man. Salt feels Pep makes horrible choices when it comes to men. Pepa seems to like to choose thug type men. Pepa feels if there are things that are changeable or fixable she is willing to deal with. Pepa's last man had gold teeth. Pepa goes on a double date with Salt and Salt's husband. The guy talks about almost being stabbed by a crazed girlfriend he was seeing, and having to be arrested as a result. Salt sees the red flags, but Pepa is acting like she does not. Salt wants Pepa to make better choices when it comes to men. Pepa decides to join a match making company, and Salt helps interview the males that are coming in to be screened. Instead Salt tries to set Pepa up with a youth pastor. Salt describes Mark as very nice, smart, professional, giving, but nothing about his appearance. Pepa wants to know if he has hair, and when she finds out he does not, she says "he sounds round". When Pepa sees Mark for the first time, she is not happy. She does not hide emotion well at all. HA. Well for the Mark he was smitten, Pepa was not even trying to deal. She would not give Mark her phone number and did not take his number. Pepa is hoping to meet a man who will make her feel like she wants to rip off his clothing. LOL It was an interesting episode.

The Peacemaker

I thought this episode was really good. Had a lot going on so your emotions where all over the place. Eddie is still at home recovering, and seems he is trying to experiment with his cooking while he is home. He makes a Sloppy Joe scramble, and Lizzie is the one who gets to test the dish, while the other two sneak out of the house to avoid being test subjects. For dinner Fish casserole. Yummmy NOT!!! Ha.

Lizzie is also still communicating with her jail buddy behind her parents. I did not know a young person could secure their own PO Box? Cassie tells Charles she is ready to have sex. Tae is trying to let a young lady know he likes her, and listening to his friends he tries to chat with a young lady online and ends up in sex predator sting!!! As serious as that was, I could not help but laugh at his attempts to look older. Eyebrow pencil to fill in his mustache, and a hat. One of his friends says "Not social security old, old like 16." when Tae suggest he talks to someone 30 years old. Lizzie has to deal with her emotions when the Reverand has a heart attack, and later dies. Jen quits her job, and takes a job with a clinic. I must have missed it, but I don't recall her telling Eddie she has decided to leave the Hospital job. What I want to know is what is the deal with Charles Step Father? He must have a really shady past for Charles to not want Cassie to meet him!! It will be interesting to see that story line develop. NBA star Baron Davis guest starred on the episode as well as music artist Chrisette Michele. I laughed at the ending. "Baby the miracle is that we are alive", a comment about Eddies cooking.

When this series is done some of these women will require serious AA intervention. *cough, cough, Lacey and Brandi cough, cough, cough* In this installment, the women got to ride the tour bus, and go to Vegas to see how they would be able to handle Bret's performance side of his life. Bret leaves the girls to prepare for dinner, and his band have the women drinking shots, and Lacey and Brandi get trashed big time. Lacey can't walk, and Brandi vomits at the sight of Heather eating shell fish. Brandi tells Bret she really cares for him with some rank vomit breath. Jes however wins a solo date with Bret to the displeasure of Heather.

Next morning Brandi says how she knows Bret is not the one for her, which Lacey and Heather use against her. When it's all said and done Brandi admits she can't let her guard down, and Bret is upset, and felt she should have revealed that sooner, and tells her that her tour ends there. It's down to three. Lacey, Heather, Jes. I want to see Jes win it. She has been my favorite since day one.
