After over a year away from TV.com, I'm back (and surprised to see that my editorship wasn't removed)! I wonder if any of you actually remember me? I see a lot of old faces are still around.
I've had a good year and changed a hell of a lot. I haven't been watching TV as much, just my favourites. Over the last week, I've watched the three first series of Desperate Housewives (which is still my favourite show) and it made me think of this website so, here I am! ![]()
I don't really have much to say so I'll wrap it up now - It's good to be back!

High Hopes #2

This will be the final part of my high hope blogs. It seems everything I have been hoping for recently has blown up in my face so this time, I want things go my way and we get ourselves some snow! As you may have heard, England is about to start its
worst snow storm for a decade in just a few short hours. I love snow. It's one of the most magical things that the planet has. I love the feel you get when holding it (not the cold one)! But seriously, it's great and because we rarely get it here it makes it even more fantastic!
Tonight, Bang! finnally airs here in the UK which I'm sure everyone is anxious about. It's quite scary though because my parents seem more excited than me!
In other news, I am now Level 14 and I have a spiffy new emblem for posting 500 messages on the boards. Also, I've decided to write some reviews as I haven't done very many and I love writing. I don't know which show for yet but I'll probably start next week as we break up from school on friday!
Finally, because of some upcoming exams, I've started going to extra English lessons as my teacher thinks, with enough effort, I will exceed my target and be in a higher set next year! The downside to this is that starting Febuary 20th I won't be on here as much 'til mid-April.

I'm really looking forward to this year TV wise. We are getting some fantastic, brand new shows here in Britain from across the pond. I am most excited about Dexter! I've been reading about it a lot and
have seen some clips of it on various websites around the internet and it's really making me anxious. I just hope one of the channels over here buys the first season and broadcasts it. Another show which is getting me all hyped up is Heroes. I'm sure I don't need to explain what it's all about as I've seen it's very popular in America.
I'm very impressed with Lilies this week. It's a shame that you guys can't watch it over there because it's really good drama. I missed Skins which I'm not very happy about. From what I've read, it was much better than the Pilot so I've got high hopes for the rest of the season. Desperate Housewives was really intriguing this week. I think Laurie Metcalf is quite a talented actress. She plays the part of Carolyn Bigsby (Alma's friend) who thinks that Bree's new husband Orson is a murderer. Best of all, she goes all serial killer next week in Bang!
In other news, Bird Flu is being felt here in England as it broke out in Suffolk in the South-east. It can be fatal if it is passed on to humans but experts said the outbreak was being contained and posed little danger to people. It has already killed over 2,000 birds this week and now another 159,000 others must be slaughtered to prevent an outbreak! A three-kilometre protection zone and a 10km surveillance zone will be set up around Holton, which is approximately 27km south-west of Lowestoft (Suffolk). Just hope it doesn't come and get me here in Blackpool! ![]()

What a week this has been! I've had the flu; become the editor of two show gui
des (Skins and Lilies); gained a full row of emblems; finished tonnes of schoolwork which feels great to have completed, and finally, I've gone up two levels! I've finished my submission guidelines which I will now (just like Kris) feature in every blog so submitters don't have to spend ages looking for them when I have more blog posts.
February Sweeps is approaching fast which means bye-bye to some of our favourite/most hated shows! I think that Dirt may be one of this years cancellations. I'm not saying the show's bad as I haven't even watched it and also, Adam (Maxpower03) has said that it is a good show and he's usually right! But it has had some pretty bad reviews from the media and press even though it hasn't even started here in England (as far as I know).
Skins premiered on Thursday which I was very pleased about. I've reviewed it and I wasn't disappointed; it's not as good as I would've hoped but I still enjoyed it. Desperate Housewives is getting good; thanks to everyone who restored my faith in the show! We only have to wait one more week for Bang and then the wicked with is dead!
Finally, I've developed a liking for Ugly Betty. It started here a few weeks ago and I've only seen one episode but I'm going to try and catch some repeats on E4 so hopefully I can get the jist what's going on!

Charmed That Old Black Magic Avg Score: 8.01 Total Ratings: 267 Total Reviews: 13 |
I absolutely hate the whole 'chosen one' subplot, all that seventh son of the seventh son was bullsh*t. The actor who plays Kyle is untalented and he spends the hour whining and feeling sorry for himself. He does himself no favours and annoys me more because it seems all he's after is pity and attention. It would have been a lot better if the girls had had a big battle with Tuatha with some cool explosions!
Shannen is great in this episode and I love the scene in which she comments on Jack's package. The scene in which Prue throws Tuatha through the door is fantastic - I'm not sure why but I always flip back to watch it again.
This episode, for me is when Dan starts to ruin the show. The whole love triangle thing starts in this episode and becomes old before it even starts. We also meet Jack Sheriden who goes on to become Prue's new love interest. I always liked Jack and it's a shame he left as quickly as he did.
A pretty average episode but I think would've been a lot better without Kyle.

Charmed She's A Man, Baby, A Man! Avg Score: 8.32 Total Ratings: 291 Total Reviews: 16 |
I liked Phoebe's psychic link with the succubus. The idea of mind control reminded me of the power of empathy she gets a few seasons later but it made me wonder what it would have been like if she got the power in that episode. The succubus was a fantastic, very interesting demon and I would've loved for her to have been in more than one episode.
Piper's now in full pursuit of Dan after watching his date tape, whilst still lusting after Leo, much to my disgust – I wish she'd just choose Leo! Prue seems to have finally gotten over Andy and tries to find a new boyfriend (which she does with a little help from Manny) and the scene at the end where they talk, and then dance is really cute.
And then finally, the band at the end - I love The Cranberries and 'Just my imagination' is their best song in my opinion so I really enjoyed the end of this episode, such a happy tone.

Aside from that, it was an ok episode. I loved the demon, it was possibly one the creepiest demons ever to be featured on Charmed. The make-up looked fantastic and extremely realistic so I praise the person who came up with the idea for the demon.
My favourite part in this episode was when the entire main cast came together in P3. It was brilliantly choreographed and for once, Jenny didn't annoy me in this episode! This episode also marks the first time a real life band is featured on the show and this becomes a sort of tradition each week for P3.
Not the best episode but not the worst, watch able and still quite exciting!

Charmed The Painted World Avg Score: 8.86 Total Ratings: 342 Total Reviews: 16 |
I liked the idea of the episode although I don't think it was used as well as it could've been although, I thoroughly enjoyed the sub-plot in which Phoebe cast the smart spell. I thought the scene in which she attempted to explain 'the birds and the bees' to Jenny was acted out brilliantly. Her acting was fantastic in this episode too and she definitely stood out from Holly and Shannen which is a rare occurrence. Unfortunately, Dan once again put a downer on this episode for me. As I've said in previous reviews, he ruined season two for me (and from reading other reviews, he did the same for a lot of other people, mainly the Brian Krause (Leo) fans).
A pretty mediocre episode overall which was disappointing because it was written by Constance, but as I said previously, it could've been a lot better because of the originality of the idea behind the episode.

Charmed Morality Bites Avg Score: 9.27 Total Ratings: 425 Total Reviews: 39 |
The sisters' travel to the future after Phoebe has a premonition of herself being executed. Upon arriving, Prue and Piper discover that she murdered someone using her power and in the end it turns out that it all sprouted from using there powers to punish Pratt (the man with the dog at the start and the man who goes on to become the person to have Phoebe executed) for letting his dog do it's business in their driveway.
I enjoyed seeing the girls' powers ten years in the future. Prues developed into a sort of telekinetic explosion, Piper was able to freeze huge areas and for long periods of time and Phoebe was able to create electricity and levitate.
This episode is one of the best for Alyssa, acting wise. I really did feel for her when she was in prison, she was very convincing. The same goes for Piper and Prue, it was such a well written episode and they made it so much more!
