An Easter with Jesus

"He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.

- Matthew 28:6 (NASB)

As Easter approaches, may we all remember our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who, being God, was sent to earth in human form being born of a virgin. He came to spread the Good news. To set captives free. To restore health to the afflicted, to win souls to the kingdom and to help establish the first church's foundations. He more importantly came, and this you should all remember, to pay for my sins and your sins on the cross. He was born to die. His birth was foretold and his crucifiction was prophecied. The blood he shed on Calvary's cross paid for our transgressions. He was beaten and wounded for my mistakes and yours and by the shedding of his blood we are healed.

This easter take time to reflect on the true meaning of the celebrations, away from a fictitious rabbit and all the chocolate easter eggs. Take time for the man who sacrificed his life for you out of love this easter. He did so, so that you won't have to spend eternity in hell. He did so, so that one day you could spend eternity with him in his home way up in paradise.

Friend, the time is now, the door is still open and the master still calls you to himself, while you hear his voice, do not harden your heart. Jesus longs to have a personal relationship with you. Don't leave it for too late, for one day the door will close and his voice will be heard no more.

If you would like to receive Jesus as your personal saviour, you can do it right now. You don't need to be in church to do it, you don't need any special words, just open your heart to the Lord and admit your sinful ways to him. Confess that you have been going the wrong way but are turning from them and are making the decision to follow Jesus. Ask him to come into your heart and tell him that you are making him the lord of your life.

Here is a prayer guide to help you in case you need assistance:

"Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."

If you have just praid this prayer, let me be the first to welcome you into the family of God. Get into a good Bible based church, read the bible daily and pray. The christian walk is fun and exciting. Put God first place in your life and he will take you places you've never even dreamed of.

'Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.

- Revelation 3:20 (NASB)

Timezone Laser Skirmish and Learner Driving

I went and played laser skirmish at Timezone today. It was fun and when the memberships are released and the centre is completely finished, I plan to take up a membership.

Also...

the other day... I went for a drive from Birregurra to Beeac and from there back to Winchelsea. My friend Sean took me for a few hours driving...approx 80km's. I really enjoyed myself driving around in his Red 1988 Ford Laser Hatchback.

NOTE: This of course is not his exact car but a representation of the car thanks to somebody else's 1988 Ford Laser Hatchback photo.

Stargate SG1 - Certain episodes I tend to skip over

I love watching Stargate SG1 and do so whenever I feel motivated, but there are a handful of episodes that bore me and a few that I don't like. For example, I don't like watching the episodes that include UNAS and episodes that I find a bit less than interesting (which are not that many). Examples of the types of episodes I dislike are the episode where Col. Jack O'Neill ages fast and the episode where a guy from another planet creates a tv show "Wormhole X-Treme".

However, I like how Nareem of the Tolen has voice activation in his house. He has good taste too. He has chosen to use Major Carter's voice.

I also like the Ion Cannons that the Tolen people have that can shoot down Goa'uld mother-ships in orbit. They look pretty sweet.

I like episodes that include suspense and a fair bit of enemy fire. I enjoy them a fair bit and enjoy seeing the Goa'uld Jaffar soldiers go down at the gunfire of SG1.

It is a thrill to watch and en enjoyable source of entertainment.

I don't really have a favourite character. I guess all the SG1 team are favourites of mine.

The Stargate is fascinating. How that event horizon appears and how it looks like a horizontal pool of water is incredible.

The special effects used in Stargate SG1 are really remarkable.

I currently own Seasons 1-8 and look forward to purchase Seasons 9-10.

When I have finished watching Stargate SG1, I will move on to Stargate Atlantis and in time, when the series comes out, Stargate Universe.

Aqua
Avg Score: 9.80    Total Ratings: 5    Total Reviews: 2
Aqua is an original and talented musical group. Formed in 1989, the group is Danish except for one member who is Norwegian. The band is made up of 4 members. Lene Nystrøm, René Dif, Søren Rasted, and Claus Norreen. Lene Nystrom is the Norwegian. The group is better remembered for its popular song "Barbie Girl" which was a big hit in 1997. The group only ever released 2 albums, "Aquarium" in 1997 and "Aquarius" in 2000. Sales of their albums and singles has been estimated to be over 30 million copies. Aqua added their own unique styles, personalities and cultures to their music, just like ABBA did back in the day. ABBA of course was a Swedish group that took the world by storm and had a cult like following between the 60's and 80's. The band split in 2001 and some members have pursued solo careers. Lene Nystrøm, René Dif and Søren Rasted have all achieved solo chart success while Claus Norreen has remained in the music industry but as a re-mixer for other musicians. The band were great while together. It is sad they split up. I guess they felt it was best. Aqua will reunite for a tour in 2008. This was confirmed at a press event on Friday October 26, 2007.

M*A*S*H
Avg Score: 9.11    Total Ratings: 2396    Total Reviews: 120
M.A.S.H is a TV show that is serious and funny at the same time. "Can it be?" I hear you ask. Well, just have a look and see for yourself. Put together a team of wacky nurses and surgeons and top them off with a corporal that is one step ahead of his commanding officer and another corporal that dresses like a woman, trying to get out on a Section 8 'Psycho discharge', and you have yourself a recipe for chaos and laughs all in the one place. Radar O'Rielly can hear choppers while they are still a way off, which is just weird, and Captain Hawkeye and the Swamp residents operate a still with which they make their own martinis. Hawkeye and his sidekick BJ or Trapper are always picking on Frank Burns or Charles Winchester. They find any opportunity to pick on Frank Burns and Margaret 'Hot Lips' Houlihan. Hawkeye also helps support the local orphanage, 'Sister Theresa's orphanage'. He even uses his childhood imaginary friend as a real officer and forges some army documents to get the orphanage supplies and money. Apart from causing mischief and passing their time being hooligans and troublemakers, Hawkeye and BJ & Trapper are the best surgeons in the entire east asian theatre of operations. In fact, their performance in surgery has often impressed their superior officers so much that they are often pardoned for their rebelious behaviour and/or insubordination. As they put it in their own humorous way, "We Did It Again, Screwed Up In Reverse!"

In summary I would rate the show 10/10 because I find it highly entertaining and a pleasure to sit and watch. I don't get bored watching the show and it is never dull.

I thank the brave doctors and nurses on the front line down at the old M.A.S.H 4077. I salute them with my highest commendation and say, Thanks for the memories and the many years of brilliant entertainment.

Steve Carell
Avg Score: 9.58    Total Ratings: 400    Total Reviews: 22
The man knows how to entertain. Steve Carell has a talent for entertainment and a gift for comedy. He knows how to captivate an audience, keep them on the edge of their seats and leave them in stitches wanting more. His facial expressions combined with his wacky body language make for an excellent recipe for tv and movie viewing. Better known for his role in "The Office" and more recently as 'Evan Baxter' in "Evan Almighty", the sequel to the Jim Carey movie "Bruce Almighty". His latest movie "Get Smart" with Anne Hathaway is perfect for him and his zany character and is likely to make a lot of money at box offices worldwide.

Patrick Stewart, one of natures gentlemen is better known to us trekkies and Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the Starship Enterprise on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Personally, out of all the captains to command the Enterprise, I favour him and Jim Kirk over the others. Patrick Stewart is an actor that captivates audiences and leaves them wanting more. His gift for oration and his ability to play so many different kinds of roles makes him the versatile actor we all know and love him to be. Patrick Stewart is a gentleman and his english accent makes him sound very distinguished when he plays his various on-screen roles. I find him to be very entertaining. Apart from Star Trek, I enjoyed his performance in "A Christmas Carol" and as the voice of Ramsees father in "The Prince Of Egypt". Of course there were and are other movies but too many to mention. The man is a great actor and a credit to the acting profession. He has worked hard to be where he is today and to achieve the great success that is rightfully his.

Richard Dean Anderson, better known as Angus MaGyver and Major General Jack O'Neill on your tv screens is one of tv's all time favourite actors. He lights up the screens as he works to solve problems for the Phoenix Foundation in Los Angeles and worm his way through wormholes on missions of peace and galactic friendship representing the SGC while fighting the Goa'uld. With his wits about him, he helps the helpless and fights for justice and the American way. People all over the universe have been impacted by his passion for valuing human life and his mission to seek out new life and new civilisations and to boldly go where others may or may not have gone before.
