More Thoughts

Just I'd write about a few of my Thoughts on TV at the moment.

Firstly, Desperate Housewives, I have to say that I think it has remained brilliant after the strike but I just watched the two part finale last night and I think I preferred season threes closing episodes. I'm going to re-watch it on C4 when it airs, so I'll know for sure in my review. The five year jump at the end was really interesting, probaly my favourite part of the episode. Bones has been really, really good lately. I've even said that Brennan is perhaps one of my favourite TV show characters ever. The latest episode I saw 'The Verdict In The Story' was excellently written, great twist at the end.

Brothers and Sisters, I actually am really enjoying the second series, much more than the first. With Justin's addiction coming to a head, Kitty and Roberts wedding approaching (Next episode for me) and Sarah's battle for her kids, its been really entertaining. I haven't been able to watch Six Feet Under in a few months due to the DVD being faulty, hopefully I'll be able to get a new one soon. The episode 'That's My Dog' has to be a season four highlight so far.

The ER finale was good, didn't feel very finale like but the cliff-hanger end was a good one, who's dead after the ambulance accident? Ugly Betty has been a very on/off show for me, sometimes I like, sometimes I hate it. But from the episode 'Odour In The Court' onwards, it is starting to get good again. The episode I mentioned but one of the funniest of the entire series.

One Tree Hill was brilliant before the strike with 'You're Gonna Need Someone On Your Side' and 'Hundred'. These just were exactly why I watch the series, seemed real and believable. But then it suffered a massive drop with the next episode, which basically was an hour of boring talk and soppiness.

Like to mention the Skins series two finale, which I loved. I'm a huge fan so I bought the DVD the day after it came out. Doctor Who has been great this series, have loved Catherine Tate as Donna Noble, hilarious. The latest episode 'The Unicorn and The Wasp' was great, really funny. Lost has been pretty average, imo. I'm starting to tire of the story, I'm losing interest.

YAY, I finished for the summer yesterday and can finally get down to some new box sets I've bought (I know .....how sad) I'm half way through Gilmore Girls season one, which I'm liking. I then have, Dead Like Me season one, Veronica Mars season one and a show called The Dead Zone to test. Along with series two and three of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, a lot of House episodes and I plan on re-watching all my other collections. Plus, Grey's anatomy is back! Starts on RTE two on the 3rd of June, I have seen some of these episode, but not for ages, so I can't wait!

So these are my views, my summer isn't going to just consist of TV but I'm gonna watch as much as I can until school restarts!

Tv, Tv, Tv

I just wanted to give a blog on what I think of some of my TV shows now, first, Heroes, I have to say I thought that I would disagree with people that its gone downhill but sadly, I completely agree. in fact, the most recent episode on here was 'Out Of Time' which according to the votes was the best in season 2 so far, I thought it was actually the worst. I found myself bored after the first ten minutes, the only good part was the end of the Hiro in the past story, because that was dragging on. Then there is season 4 of Lost, which I think had a brilliant first five episodes, than we got to 'The Other Woman' and was kind of like, what did that have to do with Lost? We got a Juliet love story ... 'Ji Yeon' was much better but to be honest the whole Michael thing was very predictable, but maybe that was the point? I plan on watching the last episode until April today, I'm hoping it will be good but the votes are giving me a good sign.

Six Feet Under (Which of course I'm watching on DVD) is very good, season three has really impressed me, bar the premier which I was under whelmed with. One Tree Hill, I have to say I'm only watching because I want to see what happens to them, I don't think it is that good, the episode 'In Da Club' for me, was one of the worst episodes of the entire show, I was watching some season 3 the other day and I must say that it was ten times better, I hope season 5 picks up or I'll probably give up.

Desperate Housewives is just as good as ever, very funny but can do drama very well. 'Something's Coming' was really good, the ending was shocking, but unlike American viewers were getting the next episode the week after ... which I'm happy about.

Finally we have my favourite show, the brilliant Skins! I must admit the first two episodes were good but didn't feel like the Skins I saw in season 1, but then it picked up and I haven't been disappointed since, Sid's episode had a big shocker and was done very well. Michelle was also funny and had an interesting turn of events. Chris's episode (Which could have been my favourite yet) was really enjoyable, it made me like Jal more, Tony and Effys episodes were also great. So Skins really is at the moment my saving grace, just watched the pilot of Gilmore Girls and it was actually quite funny, might give the next episode a watch. I also watched the Dirty Sexy Money pilot on C4, it was good, not the best pilot I've seen but it did enough to make me watch again!

Grey's Season 3

I realy don't understand why some people have a problem with the last few episodes of Season 3 of Grey's Anatomy. Sure the private practice episodes weren't good but the Greys bits in them were brilliant as always. I personally don't think it's any less good then in season1 and think that a number of season 3 episodes are highly underated. But oh well I just hope some people agree with me!!

So what was set up in the last episodes comes to ahead during Emily and Richard's recommitment ceremony and talk about eventful. Firstly the bachelorette party was amusing as Emily had too much to drink. It was great to see her act so fun and calm, not caring about anything. The wedding day arrives and Luke is paranoid about his suit, this was funny especially when Emily and Richard said that of course he's changing.

Rory is jealous because Logan is with another girl, after a conversation with Christopher (who has turned obviously to win Lorelai's affections) she takes a chance and asks him to dance. She asks him why he hasn't asked her out yet and he says it's because he's not boyfriend material. I liked this scene. Then how out of character is this but in a good way, Rory tells him basically she just wants sex.

They end up kissing in another room maybe leading to more. Though it seems that Rory may not be herself at the moment, I still like them as a couple so I'm glad they hooked up. Christopher has too much to drink and ends up arguing with Luke, who rightly says that he's there for Rory more than him, her own father. This angers Chris and he says that he and Lorelai are made for each other and that Emily said so.

Lorelai watches on in horror and this was a painful scene because you just knew it was going to end badly. She tries to defend her case but Luke leaves, Lorelai is furious with Chris and tells him to get out of her way, which was just brilliantly done. He is desperate but she won't have any of it and in the highlight of the whole episode Lorelai goes to have her photo taken with her parents and Rory.

When she gets there she can't hide her fury with Emily and says to her ' You and me, we're done!' This was extremely powerful and Emily's confused face was classic. Emily deserves everything she gets, trying to ruin Luke and Lorelai's relationship, I sense very heated rows in the near future.

Otherwise the wedding was nice, with Emily and Richard's dance etc. Another stand out episode, look forward to the aftermath!

Another one I loved. This episode had a lot going on and there wasn't anything I didn't enjoy. Firstly, after getting along well Emily and Richard seemed to be on the path to a reconciliation. But things go downhill when Richard finds out about Emily dating another man. After an amusing scene outside an events Emily finally tells Richard what he wants to hear, 'Come home'.

I'm glad there back together and the wedding should be highly entertaining. Emily still shows her true colours though she visits Christopher at his apartment and warns him to try and get with Lorelai as soon as possible as they seem to be getting serious. She leaves what looks like an invitation and Christopher looks around in thought. Though Chris is a good character in my view, he better not ruin Luke and Lorelai.

In other storylines, Rory obviously is beginning to like Logan and to be honest I'm warming to him more and more. Here he seemed like a nice guy and you could actually understand why Rory would like him. He tells her about an event his father is throwing and she obviously wants to go, but he doesn't invite her which leaves Rory disappointed. I do hope they get together.

In an amusing inn story, someone is staying in one of the rooms and stealing chocolate. After a revealing conversation with Jackson, Lorelai discovers its Sookie and in a good friendship scene Lorelai joins her in the room. Also Luke buys a TV for Lorelai so she can watch it when goes to bed early, showing more strength in there relationship.

It seems that the next episode will be the biggest yet this season and I can't wait! This was brilliant

I liked Emily and Richard getting on well because of the dog, it was nice to see them getting along for a change. Do I sense a reconcile? Emily's comments about the dog were hilarious, as though the dog was an alien or something. They were both so disappointed when the dog was taken back.

I wish Lorelai told Luke about staying with Christopher, he might have understood. Rory was right to be mad at Chris but it was great to see her go to him when she finds out his father has died. She gave him milk and cookies and they make up. The re-enactment was alright, not exactly interesting but Kirk dressing as the woman was funny.

Paris's brief appearance was amusing as always. I still love Luke and Lorelai together, they just seem to fit. Not much else to say, good episode.

So we learn about Luke's 'dark day' where he just disappears. Lorelai doesn't know what to do and asks around town. It becomes clear that it does happen each year and luckily Luke comes clean to Lorelai saying its the anniversary of his fathers death. This was quite sad but it was nice to see him open up to Lorelai.

Also Lorelai keeps a boat of Luke's father that he was going to sell, he lashes out saying she only does what SHE thinks is right but later apologies and claims that there good. In other news Rory is showing a girl from Chilton around Yale, her name is Anna. All this Anna seems to be interested in is the boys, freedom and fun in Yale rather than education etc.

Logan makes a scene in a classroom pretending to confess his love for Rory with two of his friends. This humiliates her but excites Anna. Anna later is missing and Rory and Marty go to find her. Where he tells her that she is being naive and that Logan actually likes her. This is after Rory says in front of Anna that Marty is just a friend, this leaves him disappointed.

Logan and Rory also have a conversation because Rory is mad with loan for the stunt, she tells him there two different people and leaves. Also Paris goes on a speed dating course because her therapist tells her to get herself out there. She ends up hooking up with Doyle and they discuss if it was a one night stand or a relationship. These two could be a funny couple.

Good episode, not as strong as the last.

Emily Says Hello
Avg Score: 9.06    Total Ratings: 236    Total Reviews: 7
I think I'll start with Emily starting to date. It was a shock but a great idea for some entertainment. Rory's idea to both have dinner with either Emily or Richard separately was doubtful to work but I liked Lorelai's reaction over the phone, hoping Rory wanted to cancel the dinners in general. Also her shock at Emily wanting to date was amusing.

Emily's panic about what to wear on the date was good and it was nice to see Lorelai try and help her. Strangely the date goes very well and Emily seems to enjoy it vastly. But there is a touch of sadness when she bursts into tears when she gets home. I just hope her and Richard come to there senses soon.

Onto Christopher, he's back on the scene again here. Lorelai calls him wondering why he hasn't called her since her visits to his messy home. Obviously this is due to Rory wanting him to stay away from her mother. The lunch scene at the inn was great, with Rory and Christopher arguing and Lorelai having no idea what was up with them.

It is good to see Rory so protective and I agree with her, things are always ruined when he comes into the picture. I'm interested to see if Rory and Chris sort out there differences. This all leads to Lorelai telling Luke about the lunch and he confides in TJ to see if he should be jealous. After a date, Luke and Lorelai have a passionate kiss showing us there relationship is going extremely well.

He then tells her that the lunch was fine. Lorelai later ignores Chris's call, either taking Rory's advice or staying true to Luke. On the Yale side of things, Rory is spending time with Marty and Paris goes on a fast. Paris was very funny as always, great one liners. Marty looks like he's going to ask Rory out but she has fallen asleep, let's wait and see if he'll go through with it on a later date.

So yeah, this episode could be one of my favourites so far in the season. It's not really an episode you'd think would be a favourite but for me it stood out!
