My First Ever Blog...

WOW.. Never thought I'd ever have a blog as I basically never have nothing interesting to say or do anything interesting to write about, but today I am all excited. I am a part of a management group on keepthegateopen.net of which I have made many friends and today a group of us bought tickets to have a private professional photo taken with Michael Shanks (Daniel Jackson) at an event in the UK also soon we will be getting our tickets to a talk Michael and Chris Judgeusually give. I'm excited and Can't wait, although I'm really a Ben Broder nut, but shhhhh he'll never have to know he is second best.

I loved this show, it was refreshing, great cast giving us great performances I knew it was under threat but felt sure this one would make it. It's cancellation was under-handed the way it was dealt with and proved once again that the executives at SciFi have no committment to their viewers, do they have any left? oh yeah the wrestling fans :-) Anyway bought the DVD box set, sales are going well - stick that SciFi they are a top seller.

If you have not yet seen it give it ago, very enjoyable and I'm off to start reading the books.

I was so glad that I did not read spoilers or reports of this episode before hand. I just watched it without any knowledge of how the story pans out. All I can say 11/10, just look deeper into the story line past and present, I love the way it teases you through the episode un-wrapping slowly. Not often is an episode told so well where you really get to see the the psychological impact on a main character due to his personal and professional life. It's different, dark, witty and if you are a WAT addict you will find it quite disturbing to see how your best loved character is suffering alone and in silence. ALP, you deserve an Emmy for this episode alone, you do not fail to deliver.

When I saw Jack and Danny running down the garden and then the tear running down Danny's face as he held the boy, I just blubbered. Superb, what else can I say other than this is my favourite episode, of any show on TV. I've now watched it about 3 times and every time it sends a chill down my spine, what is worse is the fact that bullying in schools is a fact of life, this episode should be shown in schools in the anti-bullying campaigns. I would give 11/10 if I could. Harrowing and not to be missed.

About Me

sue2310
My name is Sue and I am from Bedfordshire in the UK, a young 42 years old. A TV and fine wine addict, I seem to like all the shows that have a Jack in them for some reason. I work in the French fragrance industry, I have many interests from building my DVD collection to studying the Celtic Pantheon. I have many favourites as you will see from my favourite section, but my favourite mini-series are Merlin with the great Sam Neil and The Mists Of Avalon with the classy Angelica Houston. Love anything myth and magickal, bit of a pagan at heart.
Favorite Shows Include: 24, The 4400, Brotherhood, Doctor Who, The Dresden Files
