It was fun to see the pilot, but it doesn't look as great as future episodes. You are introduced to Lilly Rush & learn about her life, as well as her personality. She's tough, has a can do attitude & wants to right wrongs. The reason I gave this low rating is because of its choppy style. There is one scene that stands out most: Lilly is interviewing the victim's mom or a girlfriend. You can see the real street but then when the angle changes you see the set (fake background) of houses! LOL! I also didn't like her partner (thank goodness she only works with him for a few episodes). The plot was unbelievable & rather dumb. For a fan its worth watching, just for the history into the characters but otherwise skip it.

Lo (victim) was a fiesty reporter not interested in writing fluff. This leads to her butting heads with another woman writer and male collegue who can't write his own stories. One of her stories was about a holocaust survivor, Noah Poole. As she learns more about his life, she begins developing feelings for him. There are basically 3 suspects. What the murderer did was sick & in my opinion can never be forgiven. If I were the killer, I would have nightmares for the rest of my life. I could write more but don't want to give it away. I think this s/l is realistic & I'm sure happened for real.

I honestly found this episode one of the worst looking back from the future in 2007. I watched it the first time & then it came on repeat the other day but I didn't watch it all again. Basically it is about a woman smuggling drugs into the US. Scotty was a young undercover cop in this episode. In the flashbacks he had hair growing under his lip in a long rectangle shape & I hated seeing him with this punk look, it was ugly. I also didn't care for the storyline either. I think it played up on stereotypes of the mexican woman unable to get a decent job, the drug dealer and priest. Don't watch it!

Cold Case has done war/soldier stories before & in future episodes. I like this one because it has a twist. Its about a POW named Carl who goes back home to his family, only to find out that they as well as he are not the same. Like a majority of soldiers, he struggles with PTSD & memories. Some people in the community feel like he betrayed them by getting out of the camp. The very last scene is the most powerful & very well acted. We learn about what Vietam was like from a soldiers view; Dt John (boss), Carl & another whose name I can't remember. Although it wasn't fast paced story I still liked it.

This is one of my favourite episodes ever! The show is now into its second season but this is my favourite out of all of them. Baber was having trouble dealing with allowing his daughter to go out for Halloween because it is not Islamic. With Fatima's help he come up with a compromise. He even gets into the spirit himself. I am a Muslim & think it was all in good fun. I don't think people watching the show would believe that Muslims are in the Taliban & Baber saying he was a terrorist shouldn't be taken seriously. I laughed & so did my more traditional parents. Fatima & Rayyan going swimming was good too. Loved this one!
