Since i last posted i have become the editor for the two more people guides, not really getting much chance to come on as we've just got a house so busy doing it up in between looking after trinity and working.... such a busy girl!

This episode made me laugh all the way through as its something i could honestly see happening! How many times do we people especially parents what birthday present they'd like only to be told not to bother!! And then when we don't get anything we're made to feel bad! Ray thought he was doing the right thing by not getting Frank a present for his 65th birthday, something which pleased Robert, in order to keep the peace he then pretended he had in fact got him something but it just hadn't replied yet. After careful thought he brought an aquarium and some exotic fish. Frank loved it until he found out how much the fish had cost...

i really liked this episode, we find out even more about Prue, Piper and Phoebe. its not one of my favorites but i think its great that we can really understand just what the depature of Victor did to them. Prue has issues that i'm not sure she'll ever get over. We discover that Victor left as he didn't want to see the girls get hurt by magic.
The special effects are also pretty good, i love the bit where the finger turns into a key.
There are a few errors though such as evil being able to touch the book we later find out they aren't able to.
The best part of this episode however is the debut of a certain Mr Wyatt!!

i guess i'm lucky in that doesn't the first episode of Everybody Loves Raymond that i'd watched. If it had i may not have tuned in for the second episode. I found some of the lines slightly desperate and not that funny. Frank and Marie definatly make this episode (and possibly the whole series!) The fruit of the month stuff was hilarious! I can't believe how different the sets are, Leo was never mentioned again, even Roberts voice is differnt! Its a pretty basic pilot i suppose which introduces us to the charectors, its already explained that Debra doesn't like Rays parents and Robert is jealous of Ray. It does get better honestly!!!

I feel that this is an excellent introduction to the Charmed series. You can already clearly see their different personalties shining through. Prue is dominant and strong, Piper a natural born worrier where as Phoebe is a free spirit and easy going and seems to refuse to let the fact shes become a witch get her down. Prue and Piper however have a harder time coming to terms with it and it isn't until they must fight their first warlock (who is also Pipers Fiance!) that they unite to become the power of three! An amazing episode which really sets the standard!!!
