This week... my emotionally gripping episode is:

Buffy The Vampire Slayer
"The Body"

Please watch this episode if you love serious buffy plots.
This episode is such a classic. Each character displays their grief so separately, and brilliantly. If I cried during tv shows or movies, I would cry when Anya is asking where Joyce is. It is one of the most tear-jerking lines in any show I have ever seen.

Anya: Are they gonna cut the body open?
Willow: Oh my God! Would you just... stop talking? Just... shut your mouth! Please!
Anya: What am I doing?
Willow: How can you act like that?
Anya: Am I supposed to be changing my clothes a lot? Is that the helpful thing to do?
Xander: Guys--
Willow: The way you behave--
Anya: Nobody will tell me.
Willow: Because it's not okay for you to be asking these things!
Anya: But I don't understand! I don't understand how this all happens. How we go through this. I mean, I knew her, and then she's, there's just a body, and I don't understand why she just can't get back in it and not be dead anymore! It's stupid! It's mortal and stupid! And, and Xander's crying and not talking, and, and I was having fruit punch, and I thought, well Joyce will never have any more fruit punch, ever, and she'll never have eggs, or yawn or brush her hair, not ever, and no one will explain to me why. (She begins to cry)
Willow: (long pause) We don't know... how it works... why.

A beautifully written episode.
And an excellent episode to prepare for "The Gift."

This episode had a great balance of characters, we only needed the people that the episode plot had to do with. I liked how the Adam reveal was really more for Hiro to realize, the audience, I hope, had figured it out. (Also, Hiro's closure with his father was really good.)

It was making me a little nervous how Parkman using the powers for personal gain. But it showed Mr. Nakomura's point- they have the power of gods, but that doesnt mean they are God. Matt did see by the end of the episode that he came very close to crossing the line. Angela's loss of control, and her comments about becoming his father were nice to see- she was much more human

They gave Elle and West more depth too. I was getting very bored with their plots... She's extremely twisted, but the viewers (and she) know that its because she was tested beyond her limits.

And I really did not see that ending coming... I knew half hour in that Mr Bennett was going to die; his story line didnt have much further to go, and Issac's painting had to be true. I was convinced the drip was going to Niki, and even when I saw it was a man's body I thought it was someone else. (Inner thought: Sylar, no he's on the loose, Adam too, Nathan we saw get healed last week... Oh my gosh its Mr. Bennett! flashes of the Bionic Man!) I think it also redeems Bob too, thinking back on the car scene on the way home, it looks like he's thinking about bringing Mr Bennet back.

I'm sure there are flaws with the episode, there always are... but doesnt this bring you back to the good-old-days of Heroes?

I was extremley reluctant to watch this... The British version is possibly the best comedy ever, and I was convinced that the American version was going to be a horrible, watered down rip-off. There was no way that Jim and Pam would be like Tim and Dawn, Dwight could never be as uptight as Gareth, and how could anyone compare to David Brent?

I was SO wrong! The American version is intelligently written, and not a rip-off at all. Yes, the characters are similar to their British counterparts, but are hilarious in their own right. It shows that these 'office situations' happens in every country.

They were even able to expand on the supporting characters, creating a very dynamic cast. I encourage EVERY die-hard British Office fan to watch this series.

First off, let me say the last thing I really cried at was "Homeward Bound" when I was little. I've watched every episode of this show, and the character development and plots on this show was so amazing, that I wept through almost the entire thing. The smartest thing they could have done was to kill Nate a couple episodes before the end. Each person is dealing with Nate's death in their own way, and hearing him speak through their conscience. Whether it is positive or negative, each scene is so powerful. The moment Brenda sees him holding Willa, proudly showing him to his father just got me. The deaths of the characters through Claire's eyes was so appropriate. Ruth seeing Nathaniel and Nate welcoming her just before she did, go me crying, and I didnt stop until the end.

I can't possibly imagine a better last episode, or a better 75 minutes of television.

Its amazing how many people watch this show. Its such a great icebreaker to talk about your favorite mythbusters episode or myth. These guys go from the crazy expiriments, to 'regular' ones. And its the perfect excuse to watch something get blown up! My seven year old cousin was at my house last summer, and we watched their shark week episode. He still talks about them blowing up the fake Jaws shark. The show is an amazing educational tool too. I wish we watched these in my science classes at school, I probably would have payed a lot more attention!

Just like Sports Night, another Aaron Sorkin show, it took Studio 60 a couple episodes to get into it. The first two or three episodes were painful to watch, because I knew it could be great. (I've recently been mourning the loss of Sports Night) Sorkin needed to get passed the network 'drama' and start working on character development. I wanted to see the people in the control booth, the writers, and the production team in action. The real behind-the-scenes of the sketch show. Last week, I got some of that action, and this week i got to know the characters. Christine Lahti's character is really bringing the best out of these cast members, even though I'm sure her story will crush some of them.
