A Life is a Very Precious Thing....

Life is a Very Precious Thing

by tvFANatic20

This poem (although terribly written) is in honor of a friend, and a loss he recently suffered

Life is joyful,

and life is fun,

when you start as a child, fresh and young

Then you get sightly older, and then suddenly,

you find yourself,

with the weight of the world,

the cries

           the problems

                   the wishes

                          the dreams

of the world on your shoulders

Soon you meet someone, who you can open your heart to,

and share a name, a family, and a beating heart

Then crisis rears its ugly head,

and your love can build a brick wall to block it out,

until eventually,

it crumbles,

and your spirit will live in memoriam

This was dedicated to Art Perlman, aka tiredoldguy, and his wife, whom he recently lost to  cancer. To those who would like to pay special respects, and discuss Art, his wife, and the past, present and future. Seeing as this is a private matter, I'd like to limit this to ONLY close friends of Art, ie those in the Top Chef Games, or those who were friends with him.

Cian (aka JasonQ), We Hardly Knew Ye

Well, I have just recieved news that someone from the Survivor game, which I have recently made the choice to resign from, has been permanantly banned from the site. He has other accounts, but he chooses not to use them. This person is Cian (aka JasonQuigley), a hilarious man from Ireland. The two of us have a lot in common. We both are actors, and we both love a good laugh. Well, goodbye Cian, it's been a good two years, and even though we didn't know eachother long, and we hit a rough patch, and things at Tv.Com didn't work out, I will miss your spirit on this site.

New Survivor Challenge (3/14/07)

Today's challenge is...

HANGMAN

there will be words, some about Survivor, some about Tv.Com, and some random

this will be a board challenge, not a pm challenge. I have decided that JasonQuigley will be a sitout, not only because he is away, but because Jemo has six members, and Kili has 5.

Please tell me who the representative from each tribe is. I will accept guesses from ONLY THAT REPRESENTATIVE!

You must guess at least three letters before guessing the entire word.

The teams are to pm each other, and discuss, and the representative will put their guess on the board. Winning tribe wins immunity, and losing tribe goes to tribal council, sending someone to Exile Island.

GOOD LUCK!

Just Thinking About Life...

Well, as pretty much everyone knows, user hoffman 9120 (Andrea "Drea") passed away on Friday. I hardly knew who she was, but when I saw her profile, I realized--she was the one who wrote those blogs that I would check up on whenever I feel sad or upset. I also found out that she has close friends here, and a family. She was only 35-years-old. I do wish I could have gotten to know her, she was so funny and I'm sure she was very nice. My prayers go out to her and her family. Drea, we were never friends, but nevertheless, I miss you, and may you rest in peace. Inspired by Drea, I have decided to become more social, and I am going to make more friends, and not be so timid. Drea, goodbye.

After we recap last week's premiere, we begin with Melrose eating her humble pie, which apparently Miss Eugena needs BIG TIME. The girls get in the van to what they hope to be makeover day, but find a nice breakfast with Mr. Jay, who gives them a talk about showing emotion. They go home to find their new living room, the Frederick Fekkai salon, with 12 canvases that hold the makeover pictures! While some girls embrace their makovers, like Megg's new frizzy curl, Brooke's sexy brown hair, and the twins' different shades of red, some girls hate them, like Melrose, who doesn't like the idea of being a blonde, or AJ, who actually demands that Frederick, a master of the business, redo her hair. And in my opinion, the most dramatic makeover goes to Anchal, whose long hair was shortened, but also, her hairline was actually moved back and inch or so. The girls drive The Jays so crazy, that Mr. Jay actually storms off of the set. The next day, the girls are given a makeup challenge in what seems to be a mall. They must stop at each floor, pick up the components of their new queen look, and present them to a Covergirl exectutive. On the first floor, Megg is eliminated. But the real trouble comes when Monique is eliminated on Floor 3. The 10 other girls make it up to their Covergirl Executive, Queen Latifah! She decides that the best queen look was...Eugena's, which included a nice color splash. Eugena, and two friends, CariDee and Jaeda, got to do a special photoshoot for the Covergirl website. At the house, Monique takes her rage out on the phone, for a total time of 3 hours and 31 minutes! At the photo shoot, the girls meet three "weavologists" who will hook them up with some outrageous hair and makeup, that they must shine through. Some girls, like Anchal, rock it, while some, like Jaeda, fail horribly. At judging panel, Melrose, who was bottom 2 last week, was called first, followed by Anchal and i think AJ. Jaeda and Megan are left standing. Jaeda did not show anything, while Megan disappeared behind her moving hair and makeup. And the final name is..........Jaeda! Sorry Megan...

As we open up Season 7, As We Have the Past 6, with Casting, I immediately notice that I like some girls better than others. Not even ten minutes into the episode, we have a dramatic and tearful appearance by 19-year-old Anchal, who in her Indian heritage is considered not pretty, as she has darker eyes and darker skin (I personally think she is Gorgeous, but that's just me.)Another girl, named Monique, begins to cry as she also has darker skin than her family, but she is African American, not Indian, and I don't have sympathy for her at all (not a racist, just that her thing is personal, Anchal's is cultural). After several interesting auditions, including Brooke, a white girl who raps, CariDee, who wears a garter belt, and Jaslene, who looks and acts like a drag queen. The pool of 33 is cut. After being told who made the final 21, all of them must put on hair extensions, but don't know why, until they are told taht they will be shooting nude. This causes trouble for Becky and Ginger, small town girls. Becky rocks it, and Ginger only takes 2 frames (Hmmm..Don't Think she's Gonna Make It). Later the final 13 are announced, and they are...

Anchal
Amanda
AJ
Brooke
CariDee
Christian
Eugena
Jaeda
Megg
Megan
Melrose
Michelle
Monique

I myself want CariDee to win, but she always has this sad look on her face. Whatever, on with the show!

When the girls move into their new home, which has a "Tyra Magazine" theme, they realize that there are 13 girls, and 11 beds. Monique, who did nt get a bed, resorts to dirty tricks to get Eugena's bed. This leads to an argument, to which Monique will not budge.

The next day, Tyra shows up at the set of their first photo shoot acting like she's nuts, and Jay Manuel tells them they will be fulfilling model stereotypes, including the twins with Anorexia and Bullimia, Megg as a drug addict, and CariDee as a dumb blonde. At the end, Michelle does scarily well with her bullimia shot.

At the judging, the judges also notice Michelle's excellent photo. They think Eugena is resting too much on her strong face, and Brooke and Monique haven't captured anger right.

Michelle is called first, followed by CariDee and AJ. In the end, Melrose, who won the runway challenge and got to be diva for a day (which went to her head, as she had a horrible attitude on set) and Christian are the bottom two. Scene stealing Melrose is on the floor when they announce that she is safe, and Christian is going home.

This episode was awesome. Part Suggestive, Part Tearjerker, Part Character Development, it was a WINNER! House is back in pain, with his cane (I rhymed) when two wonderful things fall into a lap: A hot blonde with a crush on him and an interesting case. The case was 71-year-old Ezra Powell, who passed out in his lab from fluid in his lungs, and wants to end his life b/c he knows he is terminally ill. House bargains with him: give him 1 more day (and 12 hours after that, lol)and if he doesn't find out what was wrong, he will help him die. In the end, after House tricks him, he finds that the poor man really is terminal and he helps him die in the end. Meanwhile, the hot blonde is the 17-year-old daughter of one of House's clinic patients who is not only pretty, but very pushy, reminding House that in 6 months, she will be 18 (giving him a calendar to mark the days). Great Episode! Just a Great Episode!

I'm just over this show. I was upset when I found out that it was cancelled, but a few months without it has made me realize that I just watched it to see Rebecca Romijn (the most GORGEOUS woman EVER!), plus it was good to see Rider Strong working again. Towards the end, I don't think they could even come up with a second season, and that makes me sad, cuz this was a damn good show. Whatever, life goes on. More single women report the news. I thought it was great, but now I feel how I classified ot, just Mildly Interesting.

I am dissapointed, to say the least. I mean, here we have the series finale of a television classic, and the high point of the episode (Ray almost dying) lasts for a little less than a minute! And then there's the ending, all of the Barones eating breakfast. Are you kidding me?! The least they could do was something Big, like a montage of favorite moments, but no, they had to have them all eating breaakfast. It was very upsetting. All in all, I think that the series finale of Everybody Loves Raymond was a Huge miss. Whatever. Life Goes On...but not for the Barones. RIP Everybody Loves Raymond
