... which is interesting as Turk - like when getting married - does everything wrong while trying to be perfect. Carla plays the emotional side of childbirth well, despite being still funny. The bigger side of the story is JD & Kim who are undecided on whether to keep their unborn child... which ultimatly is decided up - for how long? I dont know, Elizabeth Banks isnt even signed on for the season. Classic funny from the team, Elliot's baby desperation, JD's beany bear love, Turk's icechip adventure... and Cox's son (who is pretty much the best child ever). All over fun: especially in the reveal of "Brown Cub's" name... which is: Well, that wouldnt be as fun if i told you would it? Anyways, a little Turk should make everything interesting - and so should Kim's pregnancy.

Wow. Basicly Peter is a full-blown pscyho who is just out for bloody revenge. Agree? You should if you saw this episode! Conrad & Nancy finally kiss, which is a long time overdue... which may or maynot have had something to do with the fact she was married. Celia gets herself f*cked over by f*cking Doug and telling Dean. Whoops. Can anyone say mistake? This episode was just setting up all the key elements for the finale which is shaping up to be a classic drug war with (more) betrayal, guns, sex and death. Who is going to die? Peter hopefully... but who is to say it wont be more/others. The title of this episode was by far my favorite part, well when tied in with Shane's comment. Perfect. Oh, and also Silas' anti-drug stash... we all knew he had been taking it, but seing it was nice & touching. Poor Nancy, your pretty much a drug whore with a rich white family, but we love you anyways...
The next episode is going to be fantastic if it is anything like this episode predicts. All the storylines are going to clash and resolve like an episode of Seinfeld. Well, hopefully. Goodluck Nancy, you'll need it.

Nip/Tuck Burt Landau Avg Score: 8.90 Total Ratings: 160 Total Reviews: 16 Users who agree: 3 Users who disagree: 3 |
Ok, im usually a huge fan of Nip/Tuck but this episode just felt like a filler episode... or something that could have been compressed into 20minutes. This episode was just below par. The think they have gone back to their roots with character driven storylines - but they havnt. This was just an episode based around lots of talking from lots of secondary characters. I admit, i love Dawn Budge, but they finished her character after one episode and now she's in another and has a spin-off planned. Shame. This season one of their biggest pitfalls has been introducting too many secondary characters and keeping them around for too long (See Dawn, Michele, Burt, Monica and James). Filling up the cast is no solution. At first it was exciting when a main/secondary character had surgury... now its every god-damn week. It was better back in the day when they had a character come in for a episode, share their story, get 'fixed' and leave. Go back to this format i say!
And this whole Kimber/Christian thing wasnt good/fun or even a return to 'the old Christian' ways - it was an attempt to return him to his carefree vindictive nature because they had nothing better for him to do and they semi-abandoned the gay storyline.
Overall it was average, uneventful and not what i want from Nip/Tuck. It wasnt groundbreaking or anything near revolutionary like some of the episodes that have been more enjoyable. If you want to go back and recreate the first season, do that... dont so a psudo version.

The O.C. The Ties That Bind Avg Score: 9.75 Total Ratings: 654 Total Reviews: 30 |
Well, i know this is over two years late but im still going to review it. Wow. After watching this episode again on DVD i have to say it is almost a series favorite. The web of relationship's within Newport is complete when Julie finaly marries Caleb (for his money), and in an ironic twist Caleb reveals to Sandy he is broke, and under investigation. Ryan and Teressa deal with her pregnancy, while Marissa watches from the shadows. Seth trys to sell Summer Breeze, but fails. Teressa decides to keep the baby after finding out Kirsten had an abortion (to two? Sandy or Jimmy?!). In the end Ryan decides to go back to his hometown, which leaves Seth shocked and alone. The wedding goes off without a hitch, as does Seth, who leaves on Summer Breeze. The episode ends with Ryan looking at Marissa at the end of her driveway like at the end of the pilot. Marissa getting picked up by a huge black limo, ending up at her new McMansion and taking an oversized swig of vodka. Kirsten cleans up the now vacant poolhouse, and cries. The final momemnts reveal Seth sailing off into the sunset... to be seen again? Of course! i know he is back soon, which makes it so great. These moments set up the second season and new story arc's... which arnt fully realized in the second season. Oh well, this episode rocked. Jem's cover of "Maybe I'm Amazed" at the wedding was a highlight and emotional (as well as an awesome cover! kudos!).
Ps, Marissa is now Seth & Ryan's aunt... which means Ryan and his aunt were dating (by marrige). Julie is now the mother-in-law of her ex-husbamd. Crazy! Well plotted out though!

As i have already said this season saw and end to The Hatch, a few 'Mysteries'and a few characters.
Firstly, who from 'the core' died?
Well, Shannon was shot by friendly Ana-Lucia. Ana-Lucia was ironicly shot in the same place by Michael, Libby was shot accidently twice by Michael and a few were left unanswered for. Desmond, Locke and Eko are all left unaccounted for at the end of this episode while Michael and Walt are sailing off... to be seen again?
The Mysteries that were solved?
The Hatch, The Monster, what happened to Walt.
Turns out The Hatch was a 70's bachelor pad with a countdown timer... oh, and a front door.
The Monster was a blackcloud that reads your mind and memories and then judges you.
Oh, and Walt was being taken care of by The Others. And then released. But also appearing randomly and speaking backwards.
Basicly this episode ended the season nicely while tying up loose ends. We see what happens when the button isnt pushed, which i suspect will be the spine of the third season.
The cliffhanger for this season (Kate, Jack and Sawyer being captured) wasnt anywhere as exciting as last seasons 'looking down the hatch' scene. Although this time we have our first Off-The-Island experience with the island being uncovered and found. What does it all mean? I guess we have five months to think about that.
