    ABOUT ME

    wwfpooh

    name: wwfpooh

    my AOL IM: Not telling!

    my Yahoo! IM: Not telling!

    my story:
I am basically a nut for old-school animation (vintage Disney & Henson, retro Warner Brothers, and anything else that catches my fancy) and a small batch of modern cartoons (Teen Titans, Danny Phantom, Avatar, and Kim Possible). As well, I've been a WWF/E fan ever since the 80's with Hulk Hogan where it started expanding, lived through the infamous "Monday Night Wars" between WCW and the then-WWF (with ECW barely registering, sadly)--with the height of the company war being during the equally famous 'Attitude Era' of the pro wrestling business--and becoming a giant empire. Nowadays though, the company--the WWF/E--has become pretty darn stale and predictable in terms of entertainment by way of reviving past angles and teams (or by simply ripping off another team by giving a new team that team's gimmick). However, that won't stop me from watching--unlike some people--because I can still find those people I enjoy watching, namely The Undertaker & Kane and one Misterrrr Kennedy...*pauses*...Kennedy! As to my personal life, I don't enjoy putting up too much personal info about myself about on the internet--for obvious reasons--and so, all I will say is that I am currently a college-age person with a young-at-heart (and open-minded, within reason) mindset that is living the life that's been paved with yellow brick for me and every step of the way--to 'borrow' the McDonald's slogan--I'm lovin' it!

    • Rant on Political Correctness and on a specific Street we all know too well

Back in our day, shows--including those for children--were for all ages and unlike "kid's shows" nowadays, they didn't insult the audience's intelligence by dumbing things down or force viewers into a politically correct bubble! Note: PC is a joke anyway, considering biases and hatred will forever exist as long as the human right to have an opinion exists, and seeing as there's still shows like "Family Guy" & "South Park" airing on television, "Avenue Q" (an adult version of a certain Street) is free to minors on Broadway, and that The Internet is...well...you know what 90% of it is, there's now not much that'll stop the degrading of the world as we know it! As such, PC people ARE going after the wrong subject when they blame TV shows (and other entertainment... Read more »

    • 'Mania Predictions

Though I am still keeping watch over my stuff (and will continue to do so until the matter is resolved), I figured I'd list my 'Mania predictions, as this weekend IS Wrestlemania (Sat. with the Hall of Fame ceremony & Sun. with the Pay-Per-View itself).During the course of the whole thing, I believe that Triple H will reclaim his WWE throne (as the current champ has been made to look weak throughout the fued and that the other challenger is set to make yet another WWE film), Undertaker will maintain his streak to get the illustrious reign he was promised, Mr. Kennedy [Kennedy] will cash in on his guarantee to win Money in the Bank (as no one else in the match has been hyped as much for it and that no one else in the match is ready to really step up yet), Shawn Micheals...
