Skins & Bones

So, I decided to delete my site, until its skin and bones. All my old blogs are gone, and my banner and information are deleted. And I started getting rid of all the shows, I don't visit. For some reason, I've gone up quite a bit since my last serious visit, but all I've done is comment Kle's blogs and slowly delete stuff. I guess it's a lot easier to go up now!

If I ever get past level 17, which I doubt...Then I'll make a brief return to submissions until I get up to level 20, otherwise don't expect to see much of me. I like not feeling the need to spend 2000000 minutes a day checking on forums and blogs and such, plus the site has changed so drastically, that if I did come back, it'd be a complete new start.

Adieu.

PS, It's been a year since I joined.

So, here comes a new CBS comedy, and in the day and age where the sitcom is dying a slow painful death, you can not help but know why it's happening.

I come into this show with an open mind. The other CBS sitcoms make me laugh... heck, they're pretty good. David Spade is in it too! He was funny on that show on Comedy Central he was on, he'll probably be funny in this and the married couple were from some funny shows too, oh this show must be good!

What a dissapointment.

The pilot is what the stations watch when the decide to pick up a show. Why did the pick up this show? There seems to be absouloutely no chemistry between the characters, the introductions are weak, and the jokes are as old as I am. 85 dollar hand cream? Done. Why are you getting rid of my bike, I may not of used it in two years but I will someday! Done. Guy banging enough chicks to have a spasm. Done. The only original joke was about a cake plate, and sadly it just didn't click.

The worst thing though is that none of the characters on the show, seem enthusiastic about it. There is no pop! They don't even TRY to sell their jokes. They just say them.

Sorry David Spade, but next week I'm going to watch My Super Sweet Sixteen instead.

I originally thought this movie was going to be a cute little movie about a girl whose life is horrible after her journal accidentally gets published, but really it's different. She KNEW it would be a book, she becomes quite b***hy to her true friends, and once everyone finds out that she badmouthed them and then used the success to befriend them, they got angry, gee I wonder why. Then IS who she idolizes turns out to be manipulating her and making her do everything wrong. And then everything becomes right in a very confusing way.

The whole movie was pretty much horrible, and I rate it so low because I know that everyone is going to disagree with this review and then give the movie a "10" or something very close to it. But I do have reasons why I hate it:

1] Everything ends in the most confusing way. The pizza parlor is sold but isn't because it becomes famous after the "seaweed" pizza. Is is a bad person, but it's who Jamie wrote herself to be, and how come IS was once a good person, and now she isn't?

2] Nothing gets fully developed, especially the bad part, it just was the 20 minutes where everything was confusing and bad, and just about 5 minutes into when Jamie's life goes horrible I turn to my younger sister:
"This movie is really horrible"
"Yeah, I know."
I was watching it with my two younger sisters, and one got so bored that she left the room to go play with her gameboy.

3] The acting. Danielle and Allison do the only convincing acting. Everyone else acts almost as well as I do, and I'm not that great an actor. The supporting cast was particular horrible, the were all monotone and stone-like.

I came into this movie, expecting a good little movie to fill the time, but was heavily dissapointed...and let me tell you it takes a lot for me to be this dissapointed. I like "From Justin to Kelly" better, and that was pretty bad.

The season finale for Veronica Mars was one of the most well-crafted television episodes of all time and is definitely the best hour of televison all year, in my humble opinion.
The episode wrapped the season's mysteries and shockers quite nicely, but definitely left open some questions. What was in Kendall's suitcase? Will the reaction to the shooting be a good one or bad one, and what will arise from it? My main question was, how will Keith not showing up at the airport affect the Veronica and her dad's relationship?
Action and energy filled throughout the entire episode, and I was even moved to tears when the plane was blown up. I was also was shocked that Beaver could be the cold-blooded killer. I've grown to love Beaver as a character and finding out that he really killed all the bus kids really did quite shock me. His suicide was gracefully done, but part of me wishes it didn't happen. It sort of was inevitable though.
The acting was top notch in this episode. Kristen Bell really did the emotional scenes in a realistic, belieavable matter. Jason Dohring played Logan to perfection, and Logan is quickly becoming my favorite character on the show. Keith also was shown in a confused matter at the end very well by Enrico. Beaver, was chilling and scary. I couldn't find a problem with the acting.
Overall, this was a solid conclusion and was one of the best finales I've ever seen.

When I was flipping through the channels, trying to find a show to watch while I was eating a bowl of lucky charms, this episode of Matlock caught my eye. At first, I thought it was a movie, this episode was so spectacular. It got me into the law & crime tv regime, which I normally dislike. So therefore I'm giving this episode, a perfect 10 because I couldn't find anything wrong with it.

The actors really did an astounding job with their parts. Andy Griffith played Matlock to perfection, and the three business exectutives were always played with a fury and a nervousness that was so believable, and real. Cliff also was quirky, and lovable in this episode.

The plot was also fantastic. It had depth, but no so much that'd you be horribly confused. A good amount for any television show. The courtroom scenes really stuck out. They were fantastically portrayed and entirely nervewracking. As soon, as the episode ended with the funny barbershop choir scene, I looked it up and was shocked to find out it was actually a TV show.

That night, I checked out another episode of Matlock and it couldn't compare a bit to this one. Now, that I know it was a series finale, I believe it was the perfect way to end the show. It was such a high note, that another episode would've ruined it's perfection.

If you ever watch Matlock, you need to check out this episode.

Heiress Bridenapped - Film at Eleven

When, Veronica Mars turned out to be rescheduled because of a basketball game, I decided to flip to some other channels, one of the shows that was one was the "Heiress Bridenapped" episode of Pepper Dennis. It had its moments, particularly the whole singing moment. Other than that though, nothing really stuck out. The show, which I believe is a comedy, did not have any other funny, or endearing moments. I was compelled to watch Love MOnkey on VH1 at the same time. I believe that based off this episode, it shows that the show has a lot of potential, but it wasn't reached in this one episode.
