Red Serge

The show is old and because of that it would have been appreciated in its time. Nowadays it seems so very slow and dull. It's one of those "feel good" old time stories about a trio of nice helpful decent RCMP officers and their chaste respectable love interests who happen to be sisters. Characters aren't stereotypical and each person is interesting and unique. The stories are well suited for family viewing and might even interest very young audiences who haven't been exposed to modern cartoons too much. There is a lot of beautiful nature, wonderful horses, and a few cowboys.
Watch it if you feel nostalgic but otherwise you'll find yourself yawning.

This one unquestionably my favorite episode. It is unusually full of emotion. Frasier is witty but it's not a romantic show. This episode shows the well-known kind, friendly disposition of all the characters. It's focus on Niles and his struggles as well as his torment in telling Daphne how he feels. The episode very skillfully slips from comedy into almost drama. The writers very sensually handle Niles' feelings and Daphne's changing attitude towards him.
The episode is a pleasure to watch and possibly one of the best of the whole series. I would greatly recommend it to all the Frasier fans or those who want to see best of the show.

Brent Carver
Avg Score: 9.85 Total Ratings: 2 Total Reviews: 1
The reason I want to talk about Brent Carver is because he is so good. I am starting to believe this man can do no wrong. I have mostly seen him on TV in Street Legal, Due South, Elizabeth Rex and This Is Wonderland. I think just the names of the shows speak for the quality of the program and Mr. Carver is an unfailing guest star. There are quite a few actors Canada can be proud of and Mr. Carver is one of those actors. He's intelligent, dedicated, sensitive, brave, talented, loyal (especially to Canadian theatre), and fascinating. He seems to be able to tackle any role with ease and with the kind of sensitivity of intimate knowledge of the character he's playing.

Megan Mullally
Avg Score: 9.62 Total Ratings: 223 Total Reviews: 21
Ms. Mullally as Karen is absolutely brilliant. She is the reason why I enjoy the show so much. Her character is always original, where everyone else tends to repeat their jokes and fit their little "character box" to the letter. Karen is ever-changing, always hilarious and that's all because of the beautiful actress portraying her. Megan Mullally can convey hidden characteristics of Karen that are not easily obvious; a rare glimpse of kind and caring Karen is brilliant. One glance, one move, one word can bring down the audience and make them laugh uncontrollably. I think it was the best casting decision the show creators have ever made.

Scoop
Avg Score: 5.79 Total Ratings: 8 Total Reviews: 1
Scoop was one of those shows that proved just how much Quebec entertainment industry has to offer. The brilliant cast of some of the best actors of French-Canadian cinema and television. Intelligent and fascinating stories that often reflected current events, modern society values, and some controversial stories that always left viewers in suspence and wanting more. The show also followed the old formula of making main characters lives very much part of the story.
The quality of writing and acting ensured that Scoop would become an international success, which it did. The series have been sold to numerous countries over the world and are to this day enjoyed by numerous viewers.

About Me

yterekh
Well I guess this is me.
Naturally, since I'm on this site, I'm a huge fan of TV. I mostly love Canadian TV, current or some 90's programs. My most favorite would be Street Legal, followed by Quebec's Scoop. I love a lot of current productions in Canada. The top favorites are: Da Vinci's Inquest, This Is Wonderland, Slings & Arrows, Corner Gas, the late The Eleventh Hour, Robson Arms, and the new comedies comming this fall.
Last few years I have been mostly enjoying theatre in and around Toronto. Luckily for me I live close to Stratford Festival and Soulpepper, the two excellent troups of actors that usually make my summer.
Last year I also got into autograph collecting through the mail and so far I really like it. At first all the waiting was frustrating but now I try not to focus on it so much and I also have a pretty nice collection of Canadian actors' autographs. I write to people from my favorite shows and to a lot of theatre actors I have seen. I have quite a few Hollywood stars or US TV actors I like. You can see almost all of my sigs on my website.
