While working on a hot-dog stand with her friend Maxine, Vallery Irons meets a celebrity Brad Cliff which invites her to the premiere of his new movie. When on the premiere Vallery saves Cliff from a crazy fan that wanted to kill him, to save his fame, Cliff says that Vallery is his personal bodyguard which she, of course, isn't. Soon her face appears on all the headlines of magazines. In the meantime, a group of professional bodyguards needs a famous face for their new agency, so they make Vallery join them and call their agency V.I.P. They promise Vallery a glamorous life without danger which really becomes glamorous, but as a head of a bodyguard team, Vallery's every day is a danger.

Meet the crew:
Vallery Irons (Pamela Anderson) is a young and beautiful lady which enjoys life full of glamour and fame filled with style & fashion and has no idea how hard it is to be a bodyguard until she joins the crew and always gets into danger althrough the crew promised her that she'll not.

Quick Williams (Shaun Baker) is an expert in fighintg skills and weapons; he is funny, a strong character; and if Vallery is in trouble he is always there to help her. Althrough he is an ex-boxer, he likes Armani suits and fast cars.

Tasha Dexter (Molly Culver) is an ex-spy and model; she is very dangerous and competent; she could be called a female James Bond; she if often jealous on Vallery who always takes credit for whjat Tasha did.

Nikki Franco (Natalie Raitano) is an expert for weapons and explosives; she has a tricky family which she oftenly has to save; he is an ex-marine cope and likes to blow stuffs up in the air.

Kay Simmons (Leah Lail) is an expert for computers who has to take over the organization of the team; she lusts for a life like Vallery's and does not realizes who beautiful she is.

Maxine de la Cruz (Angelle Simmons) is Vallery's best friend and roomate which moves into Vallery's apartment when Vallery joins the team.

Johnny Loh (Dustin Nguyen) is an actor and stuntman which runawayed from russian mob and came to Los Angeles; he is energic and charismatic and knows a lot of fighting skills.

The show was nominated for Emmy award in season 1998-1999, for best theme song. The producers of the show are J.F. Lawton who is also a creator of the show, Morgan Gendel and Pamela Anderson. The show is being distributed by Columbia TriStar International Television.

Althrough the exact adress of the show is not know, the story of the show is playing in the most exticing places of Los Angeles (Rodeo Drive, Melrose Avenue and Santa Monica's Third Street Promenade; Hollywoos, Sunset and Wilshire Street; the Hollwood Bowl stadioon, Union Station, Santa Monica Pier; Venice and Malibu Beaches and other resorts).   So are there any VIP fans out here? Anyone get the DVD. I did. It's been nice reliving the first season. They had a lot more porn-y scenes in the first season, probably in order to get a 2nd one, which they did. Hopefully they'll release the other seasons soon.

  I was just wondering, I saw this one episode of VIP but I didn't catch the name of it. I've been through the episode guide here on tv.com but couldn't find it. All I remember is that the VIP team is sent on a vacation (of sorts) because they were too reliant on their weapons (or something like that?) and Kay's computer was taken away. Does anyone recognize this? less «

  It's funny, it's full of stereotypes, but hey, IT'S PAMM! hide « show »

  Baywatch were gone, BarbWire was a box office failure, so VIP has come to save Pamela Anderson's career. And that's it. That's what VIP is actually all about. Watch Pamm while there's a gunshot in the background. It's obvious that there was no hard science about this show. Just how many stereotypes was there? Let me count -
  1)Stupid blonde
  2)Russian spy chick
  3)Russian spy guy (both with horrible Russian accent)
  4)Black guy called "Quick" for his love life
  5)Geeky secretary who can hack Pentagon if she wants to
  6)Japanese kick ass guy
  7)Mob guys with exotic nicknames ("Prophet", "D Girls"...)
  8)Mob guys with ice bullets
  The list goes on, but I'll stop here.
  If you wanna watch something just to forget your troubles and have some fun, this is the show for you. But if you want something with little more brain, stick to CSI.

  This was a great fun tv show,I love Pamela Anderson Lee in this goofy role playe it great and the rest of the cast was superb.And the plots were silly sometime but I just kept watching this show I got the first season dvd and I'll get the second season hide « show »

  This was one of this best on UPN 9 back in the day.But when they cancelled this show I was mad,such a fun show gone and they don't make show like this anymore. They make a Movie from this like the Star Trek films,because I'll pay to see Pam Anderson and company have fun on screen with this action show.

  When I first saw this show, I thought it was some stupid and boring show with Pamela. But, when I watched one episode, I started to like it.
  Although I watched it when I had time, it was a pretty cool show!
  My fave character is....well....I don't have a fave character, but never mind.
  I was pretty sad when the show ended, but...there are plenty better shows!!!

  Guilty pleasure about sums it up. Why do people always laugh at me when I tell them I used to watch, and enjoy, this show? Because they think Pamela Anderson has no acting skills?
  
  
  Alright, you might be correct. But why does she need acting skills when her.. other assets are far from distasteful? I admit that I when I first started watching this show I did it purely for the eye candy, and I was never disappointed. But as I started watching more and more episodes I actually started to enjoy the show for its content.
  
  
  Alright, it's not amazing, but why do you need amazing when decent is good enough? The concept itself really isn't all that original, but it was such a pleasure to look at. Turn the brains off and open your eyes wide as you absorb the colourful world of V.I.P. And no, my eyes did not limit themselves to the glories of the main actress, but to the design of everything, from the wallpaper, to the clothing, to the clouds.
