The students are pressurised as the first year exams are coming up, but Rhoda is not getting the revision she needs, because her son Jason has been admitted to hospital. Jason drops a bombshell about his future, and Rhoda is horrified to discover that she and Tony are divided over his plans and fears that Jason is being forced to choose between medicine and marriage. Meanwhile, the students prepare to bury their cadaver, Percy, and as the end of term ball is coming up, they are all hoping to find dates.
