Notes

According to Mark Slade, who played a background crew member in a number of episodes, they were preparing to shoot a scene where the Seaview was hit by a torpedo when Richard Basehart insisted on seeing the explosive special effects go off first, although it would cause a delay in filming. The effects were set off and blew out a huge chunk of the sub's deck, right where the actors would have been standing. Basehart began singing, "There's No Business Like Show Business", and went off to lunch. (edit)
Hurd Hatfield is best known for his star turn in the title role of the classic film "The Picture of Dorian Grey". (edit)

Superb
The City Beneath The Sea
"Adventurous"
Seaview's first dip into the spy business, not to mention their first confrontation with an evil genius. An interesting villain, a girl (appreciate them while they last) and some gorgeous miniatures make this a fine outing.
