Over three minutes of footage--from getting into a limo at the Nelson Institute through its attack and destruction by a helicopter--are lifted directly from the pilot episode. It is, however, in color. (The pilot was originally shot in color.) There is also a few moments of previously unused footage where Nelson picks himself up after taking out the sniper and is confronted by another man with a gun. (edit) John McGiver is referred to as "Kaber" of the Kaber Toy Company throughout the episode, yet he is credited as "Alexander Corby". (edit)

Kaber: But enough of theory. Wouldn't you care for a demonstration?
Nelson: Ah, no, no, that won't be necessary. I, uh, I accept your statement. (Kaber's henchmen seize him)
Kaber: No trouble at all, I assure you. (edit) Crane: Well, that's the end of the Kaber Toy Company.
Nelson: To say the least; the entire spy ring has been broken. They couldn't play without their toys. (edit)

Larry Dean is a professional mime. (edit) Preparing to visit Kaber, we see Captain Shire and Nelson ostentatiously check their guns and shove them into their waistbands. When their limo comes under attack, we clearly see Shire reach for a shoulder holster. And if you look very carefully, you can see Nelson do the same thing. (edit) At the Kaber Toy factory, after our guys hop down the manhole cover, we see a stocky man with bushy dark hair in coveralls in pursuit. This man is another familiar background face from the Seaview. (edit)

Nelson: The best-laid plans of mice and men, Kaber.

Nelson is alluding to a famous line from a poem by Robert Burns, "Man Was Made to Mourn." Nelson is actually misquoting--Burns' line goes as follows:
The best laid schemes o' mice and men/ Gang aft agley. (edit)
