1 Idea 5 People/5 Things I Learned Today is a unique web series created by Ryan Nance and Devereau Chumrua. The show is shot at a different location every time, which are randomly selected. Show hosts Ryan or Whitney reach out to random people passing by to get their opinion on an array of issues. The hosts may ask them an interesting question such as "Why do you think you are here?," "If you were a superhero, what would your power be?" or "If your life were a movie, what song would play during the closing credits?" Sometimes the host reads a quote by a famous person like Louise Gluck, Napoleon Bonaparte or Miss Petite Coquette and asks people to tell them what the quote means to them. They reach out to 5 people to get 5 separate opinions on the subjects at hand. Other episodes focus on talking to one person and discovering 5 things about them. People interviewed for this series include writer, Gabrielle Calvocoressi, magazine editor Jaszy McAllister and filmmaker Nick Tierce.
