I think Carrie Brownstein has lost it. It was bad enough when she and her Sleater Kinney band mates called it quits a few years back. Then the rocker turned writer took some time off from her post at Monitor Mix this past summer. Ok. Fine Carrie. Rocking is hard. Writing is hard. But now Brownstein can't even deal with the addictive fits of fuzzy pop punk The Thermals are pedaling these days...or maybe that's just what the band's new video for "I Don't Believe You" has lead me to suppose. Actually, yeah... Like the catchy as all chorus the Portland trio dish out on this first single from their soon to be released album Personal Life, I don't believe her either. What I do believe is Brownstein will pen such an inspiring piece about The Thermal's new album in her return to blogging, that'll she'll be compelled to get her old band back together. The two will embark on a massive world tour, hand in hand, and all will be right in the world. It could happen. - David Pitzmoreless
