Beyond Human

Show Summary

Beyond Human was produced in 2001, however only recently it finally became available for viewers to see. The series has nine episodes that can be roughly divided into two parts. First episodes are devoted to exploring the ways to make humans into cyborgs (The Cyborg Revolution, Invasion of The Inhuman, The Cyborg Mind, The Age of Androids) and the rest explore ways to "humanize" robots (How to Design A Humanoid, Emotional Robots, Can A Robot Be A Person, Robot Soccer, and Erasing The Line Between Man and Machine). The documentary was directed by Thomas Lucas and written by Rob Goldberg. It also includes interviews with scientists and sci-fi writers and visionaries. Even though the show is nine years old surprisingly many questions it asks remain unanswered even today and many possibilities are yet to be explored. Each episode runs somewhere between five and ten minutes and usually explores one particular topic.
