The Naughty Kitchen Webisodes is a reality based show that follows the daily adventures of Chef Blythe Beck and her staff at the world famous Central 214 restaurant inside the Hotel Palomar, a luxury hotel in Dallas, Texas. Chef Beck made a huge splash immediately as she burst onto the Dallas food scene, with her self described sexy American cuisine, full of outright decadence and full fledged indulgence. As her decree in food production is to "keep it naughty," the show spotlights Beck's relentless pursuit of excellence in managing her staff and maintaining a top notch level of quality, while sometimes seeming to lose her grip on reality. Among the only food production shows to actually take place in a functioning restaurant, and a very nice one at that, Beck's little tirades and pep talks are especially poignant because people will be paying for the food. The staff is full of conveniently helpful characters, but the real show her is Beck herself, in her quest for "total world culinary domination." Larger than life and outrageous to say the least, The Naughty Kitchen Webisodes is great entertainment, any way you slice it.moreless

$12 Challenge, presented by Food2, is a dating show featuring two contestants attempting to win the heart of one hot man or woman through cooking on a budget. The twist on this show is that the contestants are limited to a 12 dollar budget and must use the environment around them as their kitchen; they aren't supplied with, or allowed to bring, any cooking instruments or utensils. This arrangement leads to some odd situations as the guests try to cajole the use of a kitchen out of a business owner or use a wobbly park bench as a chopping board. At the end of the show, the chosen contestant, usually the one which produced the finest food, gets to choose between going out on a date with the hottie or receiving money. Even after working so hard to make a quality meal, the contestants often make very surprising choices, resulting in amusing consequences.moreless
