Show Summary

Charlie Murphy's Crash Comedy is a sketch comedy show broadcast exclusively on the web and consists of four to five minute episodes. It was created by and stars Charlie Murphy, who is the older brother of comedian Eddie Murphy. He developed the show in response to the comedy series Chappelle's Show being pulled from the air. Comedians Donnell Rawlings and Freez Luv co-star on his show. The series is made up of skits, sketches, and parodies. One memorable episode titled "Charlie and Lil' Wayne" was a parodied interview between Charlie Murphy and rapper Lil' Wayne, who was played by Jay Pharaoh. Another was an episode called "Hood Hold Hairspray" that was a parody of infomercials hosted by Billy Mays. The show is produced by Iron Weeds Productions and Sony Pictures Television is the show's distributor. The director of the series, Lance Rivera, is the CEO and co-founder of Untertainment Records, which he ran along with deceased rapper Christopher Wallace (Notorious B.I.G.).
