Children's Hospital reminds me almost of a weird live-action Family Guy, in terms of how random and hilarious (did I say it was random?!) it is. Created by Rob Corddry, it's a really great parody of most hospital dramas and has an awesome cast of actors and actresses and perhaps an even better cast of guest actors that appear here and there. I've seen later episodes that are amazing... for me, the pilot (or the first two webisodes) were simply, "Eh." It was clearly funny, but it sort of lacked the staying power I felt from Season 2.
For one, the show jumps right into the heart of things, barely giving us a chance to figure out who is who. In the first five minutes, one of the doctors, Cat, breaks up with her boyfriend, Glenn Richie. There's a lot of talk about breaking up and the methods they do so with, and for the most part, I didn't think this first part of the episode worked (although Rob Huebel's character Owen saying he wanted to make sure the little girls "arm guts" were in place was hilarious."moreless
