Dining Downunder was an Australian cooking T.V. show that ABC Asia-Pacific started airing in 2004 and ended its broadcasting by 2006. It consisted of a total of 13 episodes, which were hosted by recognized chefs Vic Cherikoff, Benjamin Christie and Mark McCluskey, who not only presented the show but also worked as embassadors of Australian cuisine by working with the government to promote Australia and its exports, and in this way show the value of this country's culture. The show was a joint production between Vic Cherikoff Food Services of Sydney, Australia and Greant Patterson of Bailey Park Productions of Toronto, Canada. It included shots in scenic locations, and it also included the internationally recognized Australian food style. Dining Downunder wanted to attract viewers by revealing new, creative ways of using indigenous Australian ingredients in modern recipes. The show mixed Australian culture and traditions with modern recipes to create an appealing choice for viewers.
