Fader TV

Show Summary

Fader TV is a collection of videos produced by the Fader Magazine. Although mostly music related, their scope also reaches to fashion & style, film, and events in both New York and Los Angeles. They feature interviews with hip artists such as Erykah Badu, Marina and the Diamonds, and Little Boots. They have studio videos for bands like Passion Pit and Raphael Saadiq, which offer a glimpse into the work that goes into creating a hit record. Fader TV also collects concert footage and interviews from the Levi's/FADER Fort at South by Southwest. Some miscellaneous concert footage includes a series of No Age @ MoMA videos, a Dr. Dog at the Brooklyn Bowl video, and the Friendly Fires LIVE in New York City. The music sections of Fader TV also include a series of videos called "At the Bar," where a band gets to perform at a cozy bar in New York City for the show. For their fashion & style videos, Fader TV visits fashion shows as well as events like the Capsule Tradeshow in New York. They also have a recurring video series called Shop Talk, where they interview the owners of many popular clothing stores around New York City. Fader TV strives to be on the cutting edge of music and culture. They are constantly on top of what the next big thing is, and they are quickly becoming one of the definitive voices on both mainstream and fringe music.

Fader TV has everything hip in music & pop culture. It's an amazing way to discover new bands, & stay up to date on what's hot right now. Not every episode is the highest quality, but for the most part this show hits a home run. They have so many different segments & types of episodes that it's a little hard to watch them all. But figure out which ones are your favorite & stick to those! I love the Open Bar series best!moreless
