Forum Network Lectures

Show Summary

Forum Network Lectures are videos of leading scholars, artists, scientists, politicians, and activists made available for on-line streaming by WGBH, Boston, and PBS. In an effort to expand the boundaries of public knowledge and make advanced education and cutting-edge thought available to anyone interested, this video series allows the lectures of our time's leading thinkers to reach a wider audience than ever before. No topic is deemed unworthy in Forum Network Lectures. In one episode, comparative religion expert Karen Armstrong presents her Case for God. In another, Nguvi Kahiha discusses his experience being black in Germany and explains the Afro-German identity. Folk legend Joan Baez discussed her life as a musician and a social activist in one installment. Joss Whedon, the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly, received the 2009 Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award in Cultural Humanism in one episode, taking the opportunity to share his experiences as an activist and a creator. Forum Network Lectures combine the educational value of a leading lecture series with the accessibility of internet video.

I still couldn't get over just how cheap Stilhaus Kitchens are. I was a bit dubious but I didn't pay until after delivery so I had nothing to lose
