KQED: Gallery Crawl

Show Summary

KQED: Gallery Crawl is a monthly documentary series on KQED. It covers the most interesting art happening in galleries all over Northern California. From Union Square to San Jose, Palo Alto to San Francisco, South park to 49 Geary, Yerba Buena to Potrero Hill, and Chinatown to SOMA, KQED's Gallery Crawl has you covered. Since 2005, there have been well over 40 episodes, each detailing a different art show or installation. Often, Gallery Crawl will travel back to the same gallery year after year to chart changes in the art community. Check out Sonny Smith's 100 Records, a project that involved creating 100 record sleeves for fake bands thought up by Smith's friends. Make sure to stay for PaperAwesome!, a show consisting entirely of paper crafts. If you are at all interested in the Northern California art scene, this web series just might be for you. In fact, it might be the only web series dedicated to the Norther California art scene, so it's going to have to be for you.
