Imaginary Bitches

Show Summary

Imaginary Bitches is a web series created and directed by Andrew Miller. It consists of 13 episodes between five and seven minutes in length. It premiered on May 2nd, 2008 and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 2009. Eden (Eden Riegel) is the last of her friends to still be single, a fact that contributes to her flagging self-confidence and feelings of loneliness. Lizzie (Elizabeth Hendrickson), Brooke (Brooke Nevin), and Connie (Connie Fletcher-Staton) are her closest friends, but are always busy with their own lives and relationships, which causes Eden to feel even more lonely. She creates The Bitches to have someone to talk to. Soon, her imaginary friends start developing their own personalities and turn out to actually be bitches. The crew of the series has some very close ties themselves: Andrew and Eden are married; Eden's half-sister Tatiana S. Riegel (known for her editing on "Lars and the Real Girl" and "There Will Be Blood" and the winner of an American Cinema Editors Eddie Award for the HBO film "PU-239") edits the show; Eden's brother, Sam Reigel, co-wrote an episode and did the sound editing for the first two episodes; and his wife, Quyen Tran, is the show's cinematographer.
