Episode Summary

As the federal government and BP scramble to stop the massive oil spill polluting the Gulf Region, Brooklyn still remains the site of the single largest oil spill in US history. Beginning is late 1800’s Brooklyn’s Newtown Creek was home to several oil refineries that left a legacy of oil and petroleum leaks amounting to some 30 million gallons of oil and waste currently under Greenpoint and in the surrounding waters of the creek.
