Jewish Forward is the modern virtual world of the daily Yiddish-language newspaper launched in 1897 in New York City. The print version is a now an English-language weekly reporting on items of interest to the Jewish community. The website has an extensive collection of videos covering a wide array of topics, such as young Orthodox women pushing the boundaries of modest dress rules; the history of the Jewish back-to-land movement a century ago to escape life in the tenements; striking images of Jewish and Israeli traditional dances; artist Tobi Kahn's new exhibit addressing the 9/11 attacks, and Eli Valley's comic book version of Kafka's novel, The Trial. There is even an episode showing what Jewish seniors do at summer camp that includes learning to dance the electric slide.
