Lo-Fi Saint Louis

Show Summary

Lo-Fi Saint Louis in an online music and culture series that covers new artists as they travel through St. Louis, MO. Award wining producer Bill Streets heads to America's heartland, teaming up with cameraman Bowls MacLean and sound guru Matt Giant to bring live music and interviews to viewers at home. The series started as a blog in 2008, but since then, it has grown into a 270 episode, bi-weekly web broadcast. Bill shows America how music that travels though St. Lois is different from big-city shows. The Lo-Fi team presents local bands like Kid Congo, live before they started their European Tour. Rock band, Those Darlins, debut their new video clip on Low-FI, and Indy band, The Nevermores, play their last gig in St. Louis before the band's big breakup. Lo-Fi also includes clips of cultural events happening throughout the city. Viewers can watch "Street Boxing at Lemp and Arsenal" or scenes from the "Earthways Festival" without having to leave their home. The Lo-Fi group has renewed their contracts with sponsors in 2011, guaranteeing viewers more music and events until at least the year 2013.
