CBS This Morning” reports on a growing risk from the Asian Tiger mosquito. This mosquito is different than most in that it doesn’t let go once it bites you and, according to The Wall Street Journal, they are more concentrated in urban areas. People who are bitten could be at risk for West Nile, Dengue Fever, Yellow Fever or even Malaria. The Cornell Chronicle says the pest is a carrier for over 20 diseases. The New England Journal of Medicine says the only repellent they respond to is DEET.moreless
